To begin, I want to compliment Jacob, his wife, and their team. They always make me and my family feel incredibly welcome and special when we visit. Jacob's is a favorite restaurant of ours and one that we visit consistently.
My family and I have been dining at Jacob's Restaurant since they opened. Jacob's is a consistent gem in a part of town where there aren't many restaurants. As an east-coaster, their menu is reminiscent of the Italian pizza shops that every north eastern neighborhood has.
The quality of food at Jacob's is consistently good and Jacob's is one of the few delivery options in town as well. Pizza is good across the board, toppings are generous and the crust is always good. As a gyro junkie, I love Jacob's because it's one of the only places in town that you can get a gyro (pro-tip: try gyro meat on a pizza someday--it's awesome!). (Also, pesto veggie pizza is the bomb!)
All of their salads are great, and again, plenty for the family (Greek salad is super refreshing).
If you choose to dine in, you'll enjoy a simple and casual dining atmosphere. Going back to the whole hidden gem aspect, Jacob's is also one of the few restaurants in Sonoma with outdoor seating. Their wine list is very fairly priced, and Jacob's wine (unlike most house labels) is very good!
Normally, I wouldn't order the rib eye at a pizza restaurant, but I was avoiding carbs that week--it was awesome! The steak was a nice cut of meat, perfect quadrillage (four way grill marks for all you foodies), cooked perfectly medium-rare and topped with a little hotel butter. Damn fine!

Read moreRelatively new place in town— online menu looked good so our party of four decided to try it out for dinner. Clean, attractive, about 8-10 tables, big plants and Italian posters. Friendly prompt service by possibly Jacob himself. Our meals included Eggplant Parmesan, Seafood Linguine, and Dover Sole w/lemon sauce & Swedish potatoes. Presentation was great and the food even better. We all declared our meals to be excellent fare— tasty, perfectly cooked, subtle delicious sauces— we were impressed! Then I just had to try the Panna Cotta dessert, it being my absolute favorite Italian dessert, and hard to find. It was a superb example of this creamy treat, with a yummy cherry syrup— I was in heaven, and everyone had some and loved it too. The menu includes two sizes of various pizzas, more entrees, pasta specialties, salads, and an intriguing wine list. Great food, great service, a great find in a foodie town. Go check it out now, because once it’s discovered it will be hard to get a table! PS they also do...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem!! Off the beaten path but with incredible food.
Food was fantastic and service was incredible.
We had an incredible beet salad with Burata- which was delicious. Followed by an Eggplant pesto pizza with sausage that was delicious. Even the chicken wings were great. It all made us want to they their non-pizza offerings like Lobster Ravioli or pan Seared Dover Sole.
We finished everything in just an hour, including taking care of the bill. It was pretty empty when we got there, but by the time we left it was starting to get busy and our waitress was able to keep everything moving, and the kitchen was quick.
We ate there around 6:15 on Wed night and there weren’t very many people there- even during a busy harvest season in October.
If you want some gourmet food without needing the fancy ambiance or high price tag of most restaurants in the area this is your spot. A...
