I recently visited the Panda Express located in Sonoma, California, and had an absolutely horrendous experience. I ordered my usual favorites, the orange chicken and chow mein, only to find that both looked old, dried out, and completely unappetizing. When I politely requested fresh food, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful.
Hoping for better service, I asked to speak with the manager, Juan. To my utter shock and disbelief, Juan refused to make fresh chicken or chow mein, citing that they were closing in an hour. This is completely unacceptable! Customers should receive fresh food regardless of the time of day. The fact that they prioritize closing time over food quality and customer satisfaction is absurd and infuriating.
The stale chicken and chow mein were not only a waste of my money but also a health concern. It’s appalling that Panda Express allows such poor standards and rude behavior from their management. Juan’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, showing a complete lack of respect for customers.
Panda Express needs to seriously reconsider their approach to customer service and food quality. I expect much more from such a well-known chain and will definitely think twice before returning. Extremely disappointed...

I asked if there was anything gluten free and the employee was clearly unsure when she told me that everything was. Being suspicious and cautious, I asked her to double check. She came back with the manager who confidently reassured me that their food was all gluten free, even when I asked about the sauces. Happy to hear that, I ordered my food and left. Luckily I decided to check their nutrition facts online because sure enough almost EVERYTHING has gluten. Upon walking in and asking for a refund due to the false information, I did not hear an “I’m sorry” or anything of the sort. That wasn't even the worst part, then they looked at each other and literally and loudly sighed when I ordered food that they would have to make more of! Did they think we would all just choose chow mein and orange chicken and that's it because they are clearly too lazy to cook the options that they are supposed to have ready when customers walk in throughout the day? And the cook doesn't seem like they are following the panda express menu, it doesn't taste good. Unfortunately in Sonoma we have so little options. It's just Terrible all...
