Sometimes a restaurant needs to know where they can improve. A great review is great but not if it isn’t really telling the truth. I found this place. The nostalgia was intense! I had the most fun I’ve ever had while waiting for my take out food. Looking at their collection brought me back to childhood and I immediately loved the restaurant. I ordered the Penne Bolognese. I love this dish typically, but was disappointed at this particular dish here. It was marinara and not Bolognese. The base flavor was excellent but it was missing the essence that separates bolognese from marinara in the first place. The noodles were perfect. The bread being offered with it was great. A side of Parmesan would have been nice and both adding more to the bolognese. I had 1 half piece of sausage in the entire meal. So making a legit bolognese and offering a small bit of Parmesan with the meal would make this my go to pasta restaurant forever. And it would improve my rating personally to a perfect score. The atmosphere is so wonderful. Make the food wonderful too! Sincerely Meant to inspire and not to harm....

I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and the menu reads essentially as, "50 years have gone into perfecting this recipe." When I see a sentence like this, I expect something that is pretty special. When I got it, the sauce was watery, there was almost no body to it, the meat that was there was bland, the tomato sauce itself had no acidity to it and also was bland, and the spaghetti was way past al dente. The garlic bread I got was semistale, with no real taste to it either. My wife got a salad, and vege sandwich. The lettuce was rubbery, cucumbers tasted off, the garbanzo beans were incredibly hard, and even the ranch itself tasted like it was about to expire. When my wife got the sandwich, it was basically the salad in sandwich form. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I can't really find too much good to say about it except my daughter enjoyed her fettuccine alfredo, which was why it got...

From the outside, Pinocchio’s might not catch your eye—it’s tucked away in what looks like a tired little strip mall. But don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. Step through the doors, and you’re instantly transported into a charming, old-fashioned Italian eatery that’s tastefully decorated and full of character. It’s like entering another world.
The menu is varied, with several standout dishes that are nothing short of sublime. From the rich, perfectly seasoned pastas to the tender, flavorful meats, each bite feels like a lovingly crafted experience. And don’t even think about skipping dessert—their sweets are out of this world.
I highly recommend Pinocchio’s to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in Sonora. It’s a delightful surprise and absolutely worth...
