The food was way overpriced hotel food. It was ok. Small servings. Overcooked pasta but sauce was tasty on scampi. Atmosphere was neat because of where it was. I give it one star because of the terrible service. We waited 20 minutes to even get waited on once seated. Maybe the waiter had a lot of tables I don't know. But the part that made me mad was at the end. The waiter took our check and didn't bring back the change. He went and waited on another table, served one food, then disappeared to the bar. I had to walk up to him and ask him for my change. Did he think it was all for him? He had no right to decide that for himself. I tip 15-20 percent depending on service. He barely deserved 15. But he took it upon himself to decide he got 20 percent and kept my change. Then when i asked him for my change he only brought half of it back. He actually tried to short me money. Sorry dude but you don't get to decide what kind of tip you get. So red with anger, I didn't tip and walked out. I have NEVER not tipped anywhere before. Bakers, cut your prices down to not rip-off status (the food is not that good to charge that) and quit hiring such shady, scandalous people. I am never coming...
   Read more7 of us staying at the hotel and chose to try Bakers. Sat down and was greeted with "we are really backed up and short staffed; it will be 20 minutes before your order is taken." We decided to stay anyway and occupied 3 tables, side by side. The waitress came sooner than anticipated and took orders from 2 of the 3 tables. When she returned a few minutes later, we told her the 3rd table is part of our party and needed their order taken. Her response, "ok, but I have 57 tickets for this hotel, I'm leaving your tickets here for you to pay now. You have to leave in less than an hour." And walked away without taking the other orders. I've been here several times and did not want to review since I typically only leave positive reviews. The location is a great spot. I know staffing is a challenge everywhere but since the other establishments around there seems to have great service, apparently it can be done.
