I had really high hopes for this place as I had heard several people talking about it. So we finally found time to go with another couple and give it a try on Sunday late afternoon. We walked in and stood looking around as we were new to the place. After a minute a young lady told us to just set where we wanted. It was pretty slow when we arrived but yet took almost 10 minutes to get our chips and salsa from who I found out later was not our server. Finally our server did come to the table and take our orders. We all had problems hearing him because he spoke very softly. Probably 20 to 25 minutes later our food was brought to the table with no silverware. That was retrieved quickly. I ordered steak fajitas with rice and beans. The only thing that was even close to hot was the corn shells! The rice and beans were cold and the steak fajita mix was barely warm. The steak was tough and sparsely adorned with very few onions and green peppers. The table next to us was later filled in with 4 fairly intoxicated guys who were eating and drinking all while being very loud and obnoxious with very foul language. Glad we didn't bring our 2 grandkids with as as we sometimes do. I didn't see Franky or any management around our I would have probably said something then. Needless to say after having eaten fajitas all over this country I can honestly say these rated at the bottom of experience. Why wife had a chimy and was equally disappointed. This being our first experience there we are hoping to try it again and have a much better outcome. I'm a bit concerned that Franky has purchased the Mishawaka bar and is now stretching himself...
Read moreThis place is hands-down one of the best tacos that I’ve ever had and I have been to many of the places in Goshen that I would say are excellent Mexican restaurants.
Me and my dining partner sat outside as it was a lovely night. Their outdoor seating. Has lights and music and is fenced in from the sidewalk. Their parking is street parking so that can be a little annoying, but it wasn’t too bad on this particular night.
I won’t say our server was particularly good, but she was very friendly and we were not in a rush, so it didn’t bother us very much. When she was taking our order, we figured there was a good chance She was going to mess up our meats in our tacos because she wasn’t writing anything down and couldn’t remember what we were ordering. Additionally, we needed salt at one point in time and she did not come until we were nearly at the end of our meal.
The guacamole that I ordered with chips was a little bland and could’ve used more salt and lime, but it certainly wasn’t the worst and the avocados were definitely ripe. However, it’s the tacos that really steal the show. This is one of the few instances where I would actually stick with the Mexican tacos entirely and not bother with the American version as the Mexican tacos were so superior. I ordered chicken and steak and ended up getting chicken and ground beef, which was perfectly fine with me because everything was so excellent. Prices are reasonable for the quality I believe they serve. I will absolutely be coming back here again and will likely go out of my way just to get...
Read moreFirst time there and I am very impressed. From the clean bright aesthetic and open space in the dining area I am looking forward to dining in my next visit. The staff was very pleasant and happy to assist. The menu was diverse enough that mist anyone could find something to try, which brings me to my order. I decided to go with the Wet Burrito, as I am quite familiar with that dish both locally (my personal *fav) and several places around the country. I ordered it the same as usual and when I took my first bite I knew the paradigm was shifting and I was in for a treat! Great lively flavor to the meat (Picadillo: ground beef), ooey-gooey cheese, fresh crisp lettuce, beans that blended evenly with the others and the red sauce brought everything together smoothly never overpowering everything in harmony like the instruments in the orchestra all working together to perform a beautiful symphony .... in my mouth. By the time I finished I was scraping my plate and starting to plan my next visit..... (encore! encore!) I have found my New Favorite Wet Burrito! (And my new goto dining suggestion to anyone who will listen.) 100% legit, love this place, so if anyone has read this far, do yourself the favor and give them a try. 🙏 would love to see them become a permanent option for quality food for a fair...
