KFC — Restaurant in South Bend

Update: From one star to 5 by an act of kindness! 04/18/21. Well we took our chances and it paid off. My wife has been sick and we got two pot pies made for her and I. Someone is caring enough finally. I want to thank them in person but with Covid it's still closed. The person at the window was amazingly friendly. Morgan and Montez are awesome young people there. They will go places in life because they care. On behalf of my wife and I, Thank you so much. 🤗

10/24/20 My wife said the KFC on Bittersweet has osed down. I wonder if they could send any left over potpirs to the one on Portage? Hahaha Uodate: 10/22/20 My wife stopped at 6:20pm. No potpies! I wonder if they're available for breakfast. I have not heard back like they said they'd do from KFC corporate which now makes me think that KFC could be hurting and they don't really care or have time to deal customers who have concerns like myself who'd like to see them stick around. Look for changes in the future. Update, We've contacted KFC corporate. They're going to contact us about this location. Also we've found a great substitute. Bob Evens on 933 has not only pot pies but great pot pies. And they say they always have them. They're very good. We got the meal and it came with a salad and a cherry pie dessert. So good! Original pozt: My wife and I like to get a pot pie once in awhile. But if you go to this KFC much after 6pm, they run out and don't make anymore. I'm guessing they only make so many as to not have much left over at the end of the day. But it's causing us to not return. From reading other negative reviews it's feeling like a business owner who might be looking to get out before too long. And it's not due to the virus. We've lived here for two years and the pot pie has always been so elusive that there probably have been more Bigfoot sightings in this area then pot pies! It wouldn't surprise surprise me to find the colonel in heaven crying right now....

Ordered a chicken strip meal, 1 spicy chicken Mac n cheese bowl, and 1 regular famous bowl. Was told there would be a 6 minute wait on the chicken strips then we got to the window, paid, and were told to pull ahead and wait…no biggy. 22 minutes later, a man steps out and asked my sister and I if we were waiting on something…Yes, our food. 7 more minutes to by, our food comes out. Everything is right but the Spicy Chicken Mac N Cheese bowl. I go inside, no one is around. I stand there about 2-3 minutes until a woman comes out. I tell her this is regular chicken and not spicy. Instead of making it right, she takes it, and layers about an inch or more of some type of hot sauce then hands it back. Not only was it inedible due to the amount of sauce, but her lack of care for the food or customer service or the time it took didn’t help. I’m a server, have been since 2010 and this whole experience was unacceptable no matter fast food or sit down restaurant. “T” needs to be re-trained or find a new line of work. Very Highly Disappointed – Needs Regional Manager Attention

I came here on a Friday night at 9:15 pm and had one of the worst customer service experiences. I was told that anything I ordered would take a 30-minute wait because it needed to be dropped fresh. After talking with my husband, we decided to wait the 30 minutes for the chicken. However, when I asked for original instead of crispy, I was told they couldn’t serve it because they had already started cleaning out the original fryer. I was forced to take crispy even though original was what I wanted.

This location is being completely unprofessional. If the store is open until 10 pm, then customers should be able to order until 10 pm. Employees should not be shutting down early or making up their own rules just because they want to go home early. Corporate, please do something about this location. Customers should not have to suffer and leave disappointed because of poor management and lack of...
