Valentino Pizzeria Trattoria — Restaurant in South Bradenton

My husband, son, and I visited Valentino’s for the first time on 05.22.25 around 6pm, and we were genuinely impressed! Having lived in Italy for three years, I can say the Bianca pizza brought back such fond memories, it was absolutely delicious. My husband’s calzone was massive, and he couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. Our son had a classic cheese pizza and judging by how quickly he ate his slices, I think it’s safe to say he loved it too.

Our waitress was the only one working the floor that night, aside from a busboy, and she handled everything like a pro. The restaurant was packed, but she kept her cool, moved at a steady pace, and made sure everyone was taken care of. The busboy was also on top of things, clearing tables promptly and helping keep everything running smoothly.

This is definitely going to be our new go-to spot for pizza. Can’t wait...

I live alone now that my husband passed away, so I ordered a takeout dinner. I ordered lasagna, small Caesar salad & garlic knots. The lasagna was just ok. It was a large portion & very hot by the time I got home to eat, but not nearly as enjoyable as I had anticipated. The garlic knots were rubbery & too chewy, but had a good taste. I was absolutely shocked to see that the small Caesar salad was priced @ $8.99!! $8.99 for a bowl of romaine lettuce, a few croutons & parm cheese & salad dressing on the side?! Please!! Way over priced, which I did not see until I arrived home. And I also thought the salad was included w/the meal. I dare say that I will not return to Valentino’s at these prices. First time my family of five came in here to eat and being of Italian and Sicilian descent, this isn't good. I've been to Italy and Greece, no way. The sauce or gravy, depends on where your from and how you make it is completely nothing but salt and canned tomatoes.
