Here's the deal. The food....it's good, nothing spectacular. The service.....is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Came here twice the first week they opened. 1st time was told to come back 2hrs later on opening day because they weren't ready yet. Ok, 1st day opening and little behind or whatever, i get it. Next day i come back instead. Placed my order while only a few people were there and it was a 30 minute wait. 2nd visit that week and it was a 40 minute wait. Stood at window for 10 minutes before the guy even acknowledged me for an order to take.

1st time, I was missing part of my order and had to walk back up and tell them. 2nd time while waiting for 40 minutes, I watched people show up placing orders after me getting food before me. I was just waiting for a pulled pork sandwich and fries the whole time. Which was missing the slaw that it said came with on sandwich. Had just an onion ring in the sandwich and very light BBQ sauce. Meat was mostly bland with heavy smoke flavor but very moist.

So I decided im not coming back again for awhile. I'll give this place another chance but I'm going to wait until they get their act together with proper service working out their hiccups. Today, months later, I decided I wanted to drive out here for lunch during work lunch break. I walk up to the window to order a pulled pork sandwich and fries. I get told.....just so you know, if you're here on a lunch break from work, It's going to be a 30-45 min wait before we can even get to you. I have a 30 minute lunch so that cant happen and im not waiting that long if i even had the time. I get told they have online orders they have to make before me. Seriously? They are unable to juggle between that and take care of in person customers? Pulled pork is already pre-made. How hard is it to put together a sandwich real quick and get a order of fries. I'm glad I wasted my time coming here during lunch break for nothing. What a joke! Service is still horrible months after they opened. That was my last time...

Overrated, overpriced and greasy. Let me start by saying I did like the food and think it was decent, hence why I gave them 4 stars. But there is a lot of hype in reviews saying how amazing this place is and I just didn’t have the same experience. I love tacos and everyone in the reviews raves about how good the birria tacos are so I had to try them. They were super greasy and so hot (temperature wise) that I had to wait 15 minutes just to eat them. I’m not one to complain about temperature of food unless it’s ice cold but for a grab and go food truck place where someone is looking for a quick bite to get back on the road this was not it for me. The tacos had good flavor I just didn’t think the quality was that great for how expensive they were. The $5 side of chips just tasted off to me and I think it’s crazy that $18 tacos don’t come with atleast a small side of chips. I spent $31 for tacos, a side of chips and a drink (plus tip) which is too expensive for my liking if I’m not at a sit down restaurant with all the amenities. I understand food costs are very high right now but it could also be the amount of people they had working there that is driving the costs. There was 3 employees in a small food truck in the middle of the week in November, i personally don’t thinks that’s necessary. All in all I would probably go back and try the burgers or something else they have and would tell others to go there but don’t have high hopes for the...

Carnitas quesadilla was ok. Very greasy. Good amount of cheese and meat, but seasoning was not to my liking. Service was not best as they had a window, and the guy was just looking at me for a minute before he opened the window. I asked if they had birria quesadilla when they are offering it in a taco, he referred me to the menu like as if I didn't already look at the menu or if I didn't know how to read. Not nice. He could have been nicer considering they had no customers, so what's your hurry like I'm bothering you. Quesadilla, if it was to my liking, should have been maybe 11 or 12, but they charge $16. I should have walked away, but I was hungry. Also if I was to eat on their picnic tables they didn't have a garbage can anywhere in sight to through away the package. The trailer looks nice and I'm sure they sell good food but my particular example wasn't. Also the sour cream was not good and the Pico de Gallo was ok at best. Just say no to the carnitas order...

Stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. After perusing the surprisingly expensive menu, I decided on the $13 chicken chalupa. My compadre chose the $16 chicken quesadilla. Service was fine, although we struggled to hear each other over a speakers located directly adjacent to the window. I had read that this place prioritized online orders, but I didn't expect it to the extent it occurred. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, although they never really seemed to be slammed based on the number of people lingering around. 30+ minutes sitting in a hot parking lot with overly loud music playing isn't my idea of a great lunch. When we did finally receive the food, both of us thought the food was decent, but not amazing, and both thought the value was not amazing. Both items were not accompanied by any side or anything, so the price seemed high for a trailer in a car dealer parking lot. Can't say I'll be stopping by again.

My wife, two kids, and I were looking for a fun and delicious end to our weekend and stumbled upon this absolute gem. I've driven past Johnny Rippas what feels like a hundred times, and I'm so glad we finally made the time to go. It was nothing short of worth it! The music and atmosphere created such a joyful vibe, and it was great to see the kids enjoying it all. The food was delicious and incredibly fresh, and the 10-15 minute wait for four items was more than reasonable. With the seating and great tunes, it was a perfect way to pass the time. It's a great BYOB spot to hang out, whether it's day or night, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did.
