I am very disappointed in my visit to my neighborhood applebee's. I think a full star is way too generous. First when my fiance and I entered the two hostess they had upfront was not welcoming at all' no smiles no nothing and they did not greet us. So we stood by the door for 15 mins before one of them acknowledged us. So we finally got seated after we had to wait for our booth to be cleaned off. So 20mins had passed once we got seated I instantly got even more upset because no waiter has came to greet us or take our drink order and I began to notice there was two separate guests that got seated after us and was instantly serviced. They had drinks on table and everything. So with me getting upset by the minute. I got up and headed to the hostess and asked who was supposed to be waiting on our section. She they states very nonchalant and dry "I dont know" so I paused for about a min to see if she would take the initiative to find out the answer, so I stated can you please find out for me because we have been seated for almost 30mins. She walks off as if she annoyed to the bar and ask the lady behind it. So about 5 mins later a lady comes from the back to take our drink order. We ask are you our waiter she says no ma'am I was in the back helping in the kitchen and they told me to come out n take everyones drink order. I then ask well who is our waiter and she says I'm not sure. Now im beyond boiling. So we received our drinks within 5mins. Now 1hour and 15 mins has now passed and NO ONE knows whose our waiter. NO ONE has came to refill our empty drinks. NO ONE has came to take our order (which we knew after 15 mins of sitting) So finally we complained again to a young lady who we recognized because we always come to this location and shes usually our waiter, she had just came in and wasnt on the clock yet but she reassured me that she will find someone and send them to us. So thats when an older gentlemen came over and told us he was the manager and he apologized for the wait and said he will take our order. We asked him as well who our waiter was supposed to be and he also stated he did not know. NOW I AM VERY upset because there's tables around us that got seated after us and is getting service from waiters. And not one person stopped and notices our empty table with only menus. or empty drink glasses. So finally after 2HOURS we finally received food, but still had no waiter. Then we got the attention of a young lady named Alissa K because we've had enough of the empty cups and asked if she could get us a refill. She said no problem I can do that. Woukd you like for me to get your waiter as well. Then we stated we dont have one. She looked shocked, aplogized and stated give her 5mins so she can clock in and she said I will come back and be your waiter. Finally things was getting done. I am very displeased with my experience and the fact that I had to spend 88.20 on meal that took me 2hrs to get, and service that was beyond disgraceful really had my blood boiling. I will NOT be returning to this location although its 5mins from my home. I'd rather drive and burn more gas to go to next location that is 45mins away from me. Not to mention there was leaks in the ceiling from the rain. There was water bugs on the shade the booth next to ours, and other guests being unsatisfied with the experience leaving. My suggestion to you is to hold a staff meeting and discuss new procedures with the team and really consider hiring some new staff members. Because it was too many I don't knows, unsmiling faces, and overall a lack of appreciation for the guest. That is no way to run a business.

Went in Sunday December 1st. I frequent here occasionally, but haven't in a few months. I ordered the Trio fajita type dish (shrimp, chicken, steak) rice mixed vegetables and a couple tortilla shells. My son ordered a burger served in a tortilla type bun. We ate at 930p.m-ish. By 3.am I was in excruciating pain, gassy, stomach in knots. I'm a chef I knew what was happening, food positioning. My diarrhea, cramps and nausea lasted from 3.am monday until 2a.m tuesday morning. My son started having stomach pain at 12p.m monday December 2nd and the diarrhea started around 7p.m until 4a.m tuesday December 3rd. Kept us both in in the bed besides the many trips to the restroom. So I'm changing my previous 5 stars to 1. For the fact two different types of meals were ordered and we both ended up very sick.

She made sure she checked on us every minute that she can get. She made sure our food was to our liking. The food was amazing!! I ask her would it be ok for me to speak of her in a review, she said sure. She was the sweetest person that I have ever met at an Applebees location, because I have been to so many that have poor service. The whole staff here was very welcoming to us. I truly truly Thank you guys. See you soon. Stay Kind it Looks good on you guys.

APPLEBEE'S IN WEST COLUMBIA IS HORRIBLE!!!! !!!! I never blast anything or anybody but today I have to make an exception. I took my family out to eat after my grandson's football game on Sunday 12-29-24. When we walked in the waitress was cursing at the hostess. It was 6 of us so we waited til they put together 2 tables so we could sit together. We were told it would be about 10 minutes before anyone would wait on us because they had other customers to tend to. No problem. When the waitress came she took our order and bought us water and drinks. It took a minute to get our food but I understand, It was a little busy. When the food came the waitress spilled Parmesan sauce all over my pants and shoes ( my Christmas gift from my husband). She quickly apologized and walked away. I figured she went to get a cloth to wipe the table and maybe bring back napkins so I could wipe my shoes and pants but that was not the case. My son in law quickly began to clean my shoes and pants legs with the paper towels he already had. I was a little disturbed but I understand accidents happens. My shoes were Suede ankle boots and my husband Never buys anything that's not expensive. I patiently waited but it never happened. No rag, no table wipe off or anything!!!! Still I just decided to eat my dinner then I would go home and try to get my shoes cleaned. The waitress came back after we ate and offered me a free dessert for my troubles. I just told her to take the $10 she was gonna give for the dessert and take it off my bill instead. She said she would have to clear it with her manager. She returned and the manager said he would only discount $5!!!! My bill was $133 and I only asked for the price of the desert to be discounted off my bill that they offered me!!!!! Now I'm upset. You wasted Parmesan sauce all over me, never wiped the table, floor, chair, let alone offered to even bring paper towels so I could clean it off myself. I quickly asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came he said the sauce was only $2.99 so he would discount $5. I quickly told him the taxes on my new shoes was more than $5!!! He was only thinking of his loss!!!! He didn't give a damn my Christmas gift was messed up or the inconvenience my family went through!!! He could see the mess was still on the floor and never said anything about it!!!! I told him I didn't spill it on myself, his waite staff did!!! I shouldn't have to ask for anything, he should of did it cause I was a paying customer that thought enough of them to eat at their establishment!!! He slowly agreed to take $10 off my meal. I am still floored at the attitude and inconsideration of the establishment. I quickly paid my bill and left ( still left a tip for the waitress that spilled the sauce on me). I will NEVER eat...

I have never written a bad review before, but hear me out. So, my husband and I went to Applebee's on our first date. It was god aweful. But the first date bit is the part that my grandmother remembers so every year for our anniversary we get a gift card to Applebee's. This is dispite suggestions that we would love to try other places. Every year we say "it can't be as bad as we remember it" and every year it is. The food might as well have come from a children's playset as all the meat is as tough as plastic and tastes as bland. So far we've tried the steak, ribs (which so far is the least terrible option), chicken penne (watered down alphredo sauce making it a pasta soup), and the double crunch shrimp where the second crunch is where the shrimp inside is somehow tough? I don't even understand how that's possible. So we each ate one shrimp, a few of the sub par and cold fries, and I wound up enjoying the mozzarella sticks appatizer as my meal. We did not get a to go box, and we both hate wasted food. But that's not all, the service is terrible, the sweet tea tasted like they hadn't cleaned the pot in a long time, we never got a refill because our waiter (who changed three times) never came to our table except to 1) seat us 2) come back for our drink order 3) new person delivers our drinks and takes our order 4) new person delivers food. There was a fifth time in between where we flagged our waiter down and requested soda instead of tea as the tea was not quite what we were expecting. They were, thankfully, willing to switch our drinks, but those few sips upset my stomach's and left my mouth tasting disgusting. Even as I write this 5 hours later my stomach still hurts. Anyway, if you find yourself being dragged to an Applebee's and don't know what is palitable, order dessert and alcohol to help you get through.
