I’ve ordered from here twice before and it was great. I’ve always ordered the chilies poblano and today- Mother’s Day- that was the one thing I was craving. We ordered to go and by the time we got home and opened the order…I was confused. There was one small sad chile with hard cheese. It was hard to cut and looked like it was the last chile and it had just sat around for a few hours. No meat inside as usual, no second chile, no side tortillas. My daughter’s kids meal was a cheese enchilada made with a hard crusty tortilla. Needless to say, I’m underwhelmed and let down. The flavor of the food was good itself, but the texture and missing parts was super disappointing. I don’t know if they were just mad they had to work today, had a new cook who didn’t know what was going on or what, but it was a terrible experience compared to what we’ve normally had. After this, can’t see going back again. You pay that much for food, you expect actual food.

When traveling, I want a restaurant that is authentic and locally owned and Casa Oaxaca is true Auténtica Comida Mexicana! The Molcajete Oaxaca is as authentic as it gets!!!! Well cooked and seasoned beef steak, chorizo, spicy pork, nopales, charred jalapeño pepper, in house special salsa, Oaxaca Cheese, generous portion of sliced avocado, beans and rice then topped off with in house made corn tortillas!!! An hour after receiving this masterpiece and the bottom of the iron bowl was still mouth watering hot! Enough for 2 but I didn’t as it will be my lunch tomorrow! Not easy to find and from the outside, a place you’d quickly dismiss.... abet your loss as this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in South Carolina! Friendly staff most of who are family members make this a fantastic memory!

I ordered my food through doordash, so this review is solely on the quality of the food. Which unfortunately is not good at all. I ordered the chicken fajitas. If there was any seasoning, it was nowhere to be found. I could not taste any seasoning nor could I see any seasoning. It was also sitting in a bunch of water. Idk if that's what it was cooked in or what. But I've never had soupy unseasoned fajitas. It was a huge disappointment. I also got a cup of chorizo queso which was awful. Idk if this is just an acquired taste, but I found it disgusting. But that's ok, because the chips they sent with my meal were stale. All in all, this entire order was nasty and disappointing.

This place also has food truck that is at the flea market on Saturday’s and this is how my family and I first learned about this place and the food was amazing! We are frequent locals at the flea market and make it our business to always get tacos while we’re out there— However, we were poorly mistreated yesterday at their food truck! My family and I were shopping as we normally would do at the flea market on a busy Saturday and we decided to stop at the truck to get food as normal… we all had several bags in our hands along with a baby, so we sat our stuff on the table and sat down before walking to the truck to place our order and while doing that a younger woman or older teen came over to us with the most nastiest attitude and told us that the seats were for paying customer only and they immediately had 2 men come out and start folding up chairs so that we couldn’t sit down anymore… we were confused because we weren’t sitting down for long and we were about to order our food. Every single person that was working at that food truck yesterday was extremely rude to us and nasty!!! The lady that was taking orders at the truck even told us after we tried to order that they were suddenly closed! This was also untrue because after they made us leave and was so rude to my family, they were back open again with a crowd of people both sitting down and at the food truck! This is experience was truly unbelievable and unfair as my family and I loved their food at both the restaurant and food truck! We’ve never record this type of treatment before and as a result this place of business will no longer receive any profit from us! The manager/owner needs to truly address this type of behavior and how employees treat paying and loyal customers! This will also be reported to the better business...

Recently, I had the chance to eat at Casa Oaxaca with my family; we had an good time. Casa Oaxaca is a little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant with a bar, and is located in a shopping center in West Columbia; they offer dine in or you can pick up your food. The restaurant has fantastic decor and they also have Mexican music playing in the restaurant. The place was also clean. The prices are affordable and reasonable. When you sit down your waiter gives you all different kinds of salsa to use, which is really nice and chips for you to eat at are at no extra charge. I order the chicken fajitas for 2 and the rest of my family order the same thing as well.

Some of the issues I had tonight were that our waiter didn't come to the table a lot and it was hard to find them when we needed him. Also our dinner took a long time, about 45 min, which to me is a long time. The fajitas came with a ton of chicken which was nice. The sides were sour cream, lettuce, beans, and one tomato. The fajitas don't come with rice unless you get the more expensive ones, which at every other Mexican restaurant I have been to they served rice with fajitas. It was nice to try a new place tonight, but I am not sure if I will come...

My family and I loved this place until today. Went in around 230pm. We order get my food first (i ordered 4 beef tacos no onions). It comes loaded with onions. No big deal. Let her know they fix it no issue, then they bring my sons order out and its a completely different order. So we again say something. This time however im informed that the owner will make my son what he wants but im gonna have to pay for the order that was wrong. I said no im not paying for something we didn't order. Nor should I. The owner comes out and proceeds to basically call us liars and tell us are we sure we didn't order the food they brought. I said no. (Now understand his waitress has already screwed up our order once at this point and apparently is now a mistaker of none). We ordered a lunch number 9. They bring a combo number 9. I insist she had to of misheard him. He then argues with me over this saying we need to pay for the messed up meal. So my family and I left and will not be going back. I've never in my life been treated as such. I have a family of 5 so when we come its a good order for the restaurant. I cant believe he would loose a customer instead of making the food my son ordered....
