Arby's — Restaurant in South Carolina

Update 5/8/2023: Following original review, Arby's replied to my review requesting I complete a survey on their website. I did. Shortly thereafter I received a letter in the mail apologizing along with two "Make it Right" cards (each one offers a free sandwich). I went on 5/4/2023 to the same location roughly 8pm. The same staff was working. At the drive through mic, the volume was loud and the individual forgot to turn his mic off when screaming for other staff to get things prepped. The visit from start of order to receiving food was approximately 17 minutes. The staff was overly kind and it seemed a bit forced. They asked me to pull ahead to receive my food. While it shouldn't have been 17 minutes nor should my vehicle be pulled when all other vehicles were waiting for the same products to be prepared, at least the food was hot and accurate. I was very pleasantly surprised by the corporate office letter and offer to "make it right". I love the food and can honestly say that Arby's has maintained a customer for now. 3/29/2024:This Arby's has consistently disappointed. Of the last 3 visits having ordered in the drive thru ( being the only customer or 1 of at most 4; visits were between the hours of 6;30pm and 10pm; 2 visits on weeknights and 1 on weekend) all 3 visits my vehicle was pulled "to the end of the sidewalk" to have food brought out, my orders were never filled properly (missing the fries or sandwich on each visit; 1 visit was missing an entire meal and with each visit missing 2 or more drinks) and despite numerous requests, not being given straws or napkins each time. Frankly, I would rather spend my $40-$75 elsewhere as should anyone that wishes to order and not have to turn around or go in to retrieve the rest of the order. With each of my visits the customer service was provided by the same individuals and was mediocre at best. As a former employee of a local fast food place I can say that it can be challenging to provide a service to anyone that is slightly hangry and inconvenienced later in the evening especially nearing closing time but it isn't...

I ordered 2 Crispy Fish sandwiches. Upon receipt, I found there was NO tartar sauce in both sandwiches. I showed to your server/cashier CJ and some other woman -the 2 DRY LOOKING CRISPY FISH SANDWICH. They were NOT surprised there was NO sauce in it. They were indifferent and flat out told me -"we ran out of tartar sauce" and assumed that was OK with me. AT the very least they offered NO APOLOGIES whatsoever for Intentionally failing to inform the customer.

This sandwich was part of a 2 for $6 offer promotion wherein beautiful photos of your sandwich clearly showed the tartar sauce.

I spoke to the manager and she replied- "I don't know why they didn't tell you we ran out of tartar sauce". NOT ONCE did she state that she will have a word with her team/staff about this.

As I walked out of your establishment, I overheard another customer ordering for the same CRISPY FISH sandwich . I practically had to yell at your cashier CJ to remind the customer about the missing TARTAR sauce. True enough - that was the only time cashier CJ informed the customer.

TO the business/franchise owner -- you have unmotivated LAZY workers. Suggest to Fire that entire team and replace everyone on that shift. There are many eager workers out there. When i started coming here, they had just opened and it was very fresh and delicious. However, over the last year I can no longer say that is the case. Since January I have tried this location on three separate occasions. ( i believe in giving a place three shots if i have previously liked it) Each time the food quality has gone down hill. Today being the third and final time i will eat at this location. Here is a quick reason why. I had ordered the classic roast beef and cheese for my self and two roast beef sliders for my kids. When i got home, i discovered that the roast beef was extremely hard and dried out. It looked almost sickly grey with a weird smell to it. I even took a small piece to taste and was repulsed by the flavor. I had to throw away my family's dinner, keeping only the fries which the kids really liked. Had the location been closer, and I hadn't had to quickly come up with something to feed my littles ones on the spot, i would have gone back and demanded a refund.
