Today I found my new favorite hangout. This place was designed for me. From the decor to the music to the friendly staff, it is a dream. We were warmly greeted and given a comfy booth even though we were only two, which pleased me. Seated by the kitchen, we could hear friendly banter and first-class teamwork behind the scenes, which is a wonderful thing. This place is firing on all cylinders and everyone seemed happy to be there.
The beer selection is fantastic, and I knew I needed the Edmund's Oast Sour Passionfruit before I walked in the door. It was a great choice, fruity and tart, perfectly countering the appetizer you MUST try: Not Your Mama's Deviled Eggs. They bread and fry the boiled whites and fill them with perfectly seasoned whipped yolks, then top them with spicy jalapeño slices and smoky bacon bits, as well as a drizzle of what I think was balsamic dressing. They're addictive. I even ate the garnish LOL I can't stop thinking about them.
Hubby had the truffle fries because he always has to get the truffle fries. He declared these some of the absolute best, with the aioli shining.
Then the burgers came. The meat perfectly seasoned and cooked. You say medium you get medium. Don't order under because they do it RIGHT. The buns were soft and fresh and flat-top toasted. The choices were unbearable. I wanted 4 burgers right away, but made Sophie's Choice and selected the Sam I Am, a burger with ham and cheese and a fried egg on top, because I can't walk away from an egg burger. It was salty heaven. I had my choice of veggies to add but used the tomato and pickle as a palate cleanser between bites of the rich, luxurious burger. There was plenty of pesto on the bun but its flavor disappeared in the mix, which was fine with me. This burger is the ideal brunch burger or hangover cure.
Hubby got the mushroom burger and it was earthy, loaded with shroomy goodness, and almost more than he could handle. The mac'n'cheese side got kicked so he could finish the burger. It was fine as far as a basic mac'n'cheese a child would enjoy but nothing noteworthy. The onion rings I got were great, a little heavy on the breading but tender and crunchy, with a tasty sauce for dipping.
We left with my last bites packed to take home, as this food is too good to waste, smiles on our faces and figuring out when we're coming next, who we're bringing, and what we're gonna order. The nachos app is coming, and those eggs again for sure! Our delightful server, Kaitlyn, said we'd better ask for her or her feelings will be hurt. We definitely will. I want that booth to have a plaque with my...
Read moreEmbarking on a lunch outing with a young infant and dietary restrictions in tow can often feel like preparing for an intricate ballet — one where timing and understanding from the restaurant staff are as crucial as the quality of the food. Such was the setting when my family and I visited Bad Daddy's Burger in Nexton near Summerville.
From the moment we arrived, the staff at Bad Daddy's Burger greeted us with welcoming smiles that instantly put us at ease. The ambiance was lively, yet it had a comforting hum that allowed for both casual banter and intimate conversations. Our server, attentive and well-versed in the menu's offerings, showed a commendable understanding of dietary needs, helping my wife navigate through the options with ease.
Their accommodating nature was truly commendable. It's rare to find a place that doesn't just serve food but also serves up kindness and patience. When it came to our 'complicated' order, there was no sign of stress from the staff, no furrowed brows or exasperated sighs; only the eagerness to ensure that our dietary preferences were met with precision and care.
The swift service ensured that our lunch was timely, allowing us to enjoy our meal without the usual anxiety of dining out with an infant. Each dish arrived as requested, showcasing not only the kitchen's prowess but also their commitment to customer satisfaction.
But it wasn't just the expertise in handling special dietary needs that stood out; it was the staff's genuine friendliness that made our experience memorable. They interacted with our infant with such joy, making us feel not just accommodated, but truly welcome. Our dear friend, who joined us, echoed our sentiments, praising the pleasant atmosphere that the staff's friendliness helped create.
Bad Daddy's Burger in Nexton isn't just a place where you eat; it's where you feel right at home, even with the little ones, the noise, and all the complexities that come with dining out. It's a testament to their exceptional service and a beacon for those who seek a hassle-free, delightful...
Read moreMy single regret about this place is that I didn't get pictures to show how amazing the presentation was of this absolutely phenomenal food! I brought 5 of my 6 family members here after church, parking took maybe 5 minutes of circles to find a spot but with good cause because the food and the experience here is really worth it! I brought my husband, my 13, 17 and 2 year old and the experience was just as exceptional for all members of my family. It is sometimes difficult to take a toddler to a restaurant depending on the atmosphere but it was so inclusive for the whole family even my 2 year old had a great time. Our waitress Karissa was very well trained and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant itself as well as the area! She is irreplaceable! Brought everything out immediately within seconds including drinks, the booth we were sat at was extremely comfortable, and fit 5 of us! The restaurant is clean and sanitized but also smells good without being too strong. The bathroom is really clean and the atmosphere is the same with decoration. We were given ample time to look at the menu, which was very easily read with an appropriate amount of options and varieties without being overwhelmed. We placed our orders and the food came out in the order we asked without haste, everything was extremely fresh and hot - the pictures didn't have a chance because the food didn't last that long, it all looked so amazing we were all very excited to try (and so delicious) and finish it. Karissa is a super star, she was not only waiting on us but she had multiple other tables she was managing as well! Our drinks were never empty and she never forgot any of my children's special requests for condiments or otherwise. After 5 years living in the area and trying most of the restaurants here, this is...
