We went here for a family members birthday.. Please note that there is a age limit of 25+ for women and 30+ for men.. The place had a club/lounge vibe.. Music was ok.. It wasn't too crowded at the time that we arrived... Also; security at the entrance does do a pat down and metal scan of all individuals entering... We were seated immediately.. You will need to reserve a table ahead of time for larger groups.. A reservation fee of $25 through Cashapp is required to hold the table for your arrival.. There is also a Service charge that will be added to your bill at the end of your tab.. The problems started when we arrived for "happy hour".. We place our drink orders before happy hour was over only to be rudely told by our hostess that she didn't enter the drink order until after happy hour was over. So we would have to pay full price for each drink.. She then argued that we didn't place the order until after happy hour.. She the proceeded to rudely walk off.. We then didn't receive our drinks for over an hour later.. We then were going to order items off the digital menu only to be told that the items on the menu didn't reflect the prices that we were going to have to pay.. All of the prices shown on the menu were significantly lower but we were going to have to pay almost double the price.. Also before we made any orders for drinks we asked if the bill could be split.. The hostess said yes.. So after discussing amongst ourselves we decided to leave the establishment because of the rudeness of the hostess and because of the falsely advertised menu prices.. We asked for the manager to come over to express our concerns.. But she seemed a little too busy to care.. We asked for our deposit back in which she promptly returned it to us.. But the final kicker was when we asked for our drink bill.. The hostess then said that the bill could not be split?????? When she had just told us that it could be... That was the final straw!!!! I just told her to bring the bill and I just paid for everything and we left.. First impressions are a big thing for me.. But needless to say; I was highly disappointed in the whole experience... This place needs to update their online menu prices and also retrain some if not all of their staff.. This was a one and done place for me... Best of...

I was looking forward to visiting but I am beyond disappointed leaving Barcode. My friend reserved a table, we got there around 8 it wasn’t packed yet and we sat down immediately. The hostess was supposed to bring a menu but she never did so our waitress got us the scan code to use.For food I had wings ( they came out cold the first time) and they forgot my fries. For drinks I had a lemon drop (the first one had something in it and was sent back) with tequila instead of vodka and a Lunazul and lemon. Wings fries 2 drinks. It was only 2 of us. I got my bill and there was an auto gratuity even though the menu said for parties only … whatever. The waitress said it’s 18%. My total was only $40ish dollars. I told her they were charging me almost 40% gratuity as my bill was $64. My friend’s bill was similar because they basically charged her 1.5 times the price of a drink due to her getting Lunazul (it made no sense at all) but no gratuity was added. I honestly thought this was added because I previously sent my food and drink back. Before the bill came the waitress was ok she addressed our concerns, service was slow but she wasn’t bad. After I questioned the bill it seems her attitude changed. I told her if the gratuity was for both of us that was fine, but she said no and that she needed to add gratuity to my friend’s already high bill as well. I spoke with the manager who explained that the gratuity was only placed on my check ( ok that was fine.. I guess it made more sense but was still ridiculous for 2 people but if that’s the rule ok). This was a horrible experience and to keep from making this review even longer, the food was mediocre at best, the drinks were overpriced and the customer service wasn’t good. I will not be going back and based on other reviews I will be monitoring my credit card for additional charges. Read moreSupport black businesses they say....Well, I must say my first visit last night at Barcode was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in my life. My friend and I waited at least 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge our presence as she attended to people who were seated after us. Once we placed our drink orders we waited another 20-25 minutes to receive our drinks. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived so I'm not sure what the problem was with the bar. I watched people who came in after get their drinks before us. We ordered our food which didn't take that long to come out, however, my friend's order was incorrect. My food was good besides the instant mashed potatoes (supposed to be garlic mash, but tasted plain). It took my friend over an hour to receive her food, but not without conflict. After waiting 40 minutes and watching others get their food, she finally asked to speak with a manager. The first person she asked preceded to ask another server to come to our table instead of a manager. My friend again, asked to speak with a manager. Somehow our server was made aware of the situation so she came to the table to resolve the issue herself. Instead of taking accountability for her mistakes, she placed the blame on the people in the kitchen for messing up the order (I'm sure she keyed it in wrong) and taking too long to remake it, said it busy and was argumentative with my friend. It STILL took another 20 minutes or so for her to get the food and the order was still incorrect. A guy (possibly a manager) knew there was a problem at our table and avoided coming over to talk to us. The owners spent good money on the decor and ambience, but not on quality staff and real mashed potatoes 😂. Again, my food was good but the service was TERRIBLE!!! It took a long time to place second drink orders because our server barely attended to our table. In the end, my friend's bill was voided but she left hungry because she said her pasta was dry (not much sauce)...
