Captain D's — Restaurant in South Carolina

Food was good ,fresh ,hot. However the cashier that day was angry, quite rude,made the ordering portion a chore. She acted as if my mother and I were out to ruin her day,...even after we got our food and sat down,to eat the very same cashier ,made it her business to circle or tables if we were talking about her,and she was hoping to hear us say something about her,so that she could fire off with foul language. As long as there is someone with an angry disposition working the front counter,one on one with the customer,I recommend that you use the drive through. Furthermore,my mother asked for ketchup, we figured the lady was busy circling our table ,so I went to the counter to get ketchup from a much nicer lady running the drive through. I got the angry lady back,at the counter where she took a large bag,placed a fist filled with every condiment, available in to this bag and drops it on the counter.,and says to me ketchup is in the bag, Well I didn't want all of those condiments,so I told her nicely,she replied,take it home, because I can't take it back. My visit today was strange. They were out of many foods. I ordered and sat down. I waited for my food and when it was brought, it was the wrong fish. She took it back, but then immediately brought out the other fish. It wasn't very hot, so that was disappointing. Then the man I'm guessing was the manager checked on the 2 other tables, but did not check on me. People were coming in, but they told them they were only doing carry out and about the foods they didn't have. Several people left. As the other tables cleared, they told me they weren't trying to rush me but to let them know when I was leaving so they could lock the door behind me. Not 5 minutes later, people came in, but they were allowed to dine in. I was very confused. At that point I slowed back down my eating since there was no hurry. Since I like the food, I will go back, but it was definitely an unusual experience. I would love to get the baked potato, but it's too expensive to substitute. The fries are good too though. Same for corn on the cob, so I just stick with the coke slaw. I'm picky about Cole slaw, but theirs is good. Gotta love the hush puppies!...

Night staff is awful, several visits said they were closed or system down. Ordered on line next time, an hour and half before closing I go to drive thru and sit. No one speaks, drive to window. See no one, parked and tried to go inside and door was locked, went to drive thru again no response.. and this was an online already paid for order. Drove to window again. No one in sight. Finally called and someone came out from hiding. Said had online order that was supposed to be ready. Waited another 15 minutes for an order that looked like fish chips, also 3 other cars came in after me all saying they were closed because no response at window.. horrible night staff sending people away, was my 2nd in a row bad experience with this restaurant.. but willing to give one more chance. Please watch out for night shift.. always turning customers away hours before...
