The staff and the customers deserve better than the management here. Countless times have I had a less than pleasant experience at this place, but I kept returning because the waitresses were fun, and the food was okay for the price. However, upon my most recent visit I will never return and I will encourage anyone I know to not return here as well. I ordered a plate of Edamame for my table as an appetizer. We were all eating it as we placed our orders. Soon after I found a maggot (or, a caterpillar as the manager corrected me) in my Edamame. I immediately felt sick, and politely spit my food in a napkin. We showed the waitress, who retrieved the acting manager for us. She asked "Do you want me to take this off the bill?" I told her yes, and excused myself so I could go be sick. When I got back to my table, my food had been served. I tried to eat it, by barely eating a piece of chicken and realized I just had no desire to eat. My entire table had lost their appetite as well. We told our waitress. I explained to her "I know this isn't your fault, and things happen, but I have lost my appetite due to the maggot I found 5 minutes ago, and don't feel I should have to pay for my meal when I'm not going to eat it Because of the incident." I had to wait on the manager for 20 minutes, who finally came and asked why I hadn't tried to send my food back. I told her I did, and explained the situation to her. She asked again why I hadn't sent my food back, was extremely rude and refusing to hear my rightful complaint. I told her I refuse to pay for my meal. I was brought a bill for my coke that was $2. I paid and walked out. My waitresses have always been great, but the management is ruining this place. They have always been rude to their staff, and to the customers who've had complaints. Read moreGenerally one of my favorite places to eat. However tonight my significant other ordered my food to go as I was at home with medical issues. My order wasn't right so I called to ask if I could come back the next day and get the PART of it that was wrong. The lady on the phone told me that we had to specifically order it another way (apparently no veggies means leave the onions, corn, and peas on the order) and that if it was their fault they could remake it later but since it was our fault that I would have to drive the 30 minutes back to get my food tonight. Upon arrival at the store I asked for a manager and was advised they have no manager on duty (what???) and that she would be here tomorrow. She then advised that they NORMALLY ASK if I wanted it with no veggies in the rice as well, but they forgot. Read moreCalled in an order and was told the wait was going to be 45 minutes, showed up 55 minutes after the order was placed and was told I could not go inside to pick up my order but had to wait through the drive through line which ended up taking another 30 minutes, I had picked up food from another restaurant prior to picking up this food and that food was cold by the time we got home. The steak bowl I ordered also had about half the amount rice and a quarter of the amount steak in it compared to other times I have came here. Was definitely not worth $8 for 3 bites of food. I understand people are struggling right now but there’s other accommodations that I feel Sakura could have made such as curbside pickup in addition to the extra long drive...
