My first and LAST time there.... Customer service was HORRIBLE from one particular employee. I wanted a good hoagie and someone said to try Palmetto Sub... I stopped in on Monday after my flight ✈️ and really didn't know where to start... I parked in the handicap spot (yes, I'm handicap, The walk into the store was not bad at all) I stood at the counter asking which way did the line start (a sign would have been nice) The bearded guy told me(with a nod, no greeting)... he was not friendly and looked pretty irked to have customers(I tried to ignore and smile remaining positive as you never know what a person face on a daily basis).... We placed our orders which was 3 sandwiches... totally over $30... I Proceed to the next phase even with rude customer service... the 2 young employee who may have been new was indeed friendly and very professional... it was the guy training them that wasn't professional... I ask the young guy to butterfly my roll... add mayo , then cheese followed by the meat and veggies.... The bearded guy screamed at the young guy that wasn't the way we cut our rolls.... and looked at me saying we don't cut our rolls that way... well it is the way I want my rolls cut.... Should it matter? It is my sandwich and I will be the one eating it... so basically you have no say in how YOUR sandwich is made.... I had to kindly let him know!!!! I Was spending my money and I will have my sandwich made to my likings.... the new employees did well accommodating me in my sandwich.... I just wanted the unkept bearded man with low energy away from my food.... keep those nasty vibes away from my food. Had I known I would experienced this I would have gone next door to Subway to save the headache.... This shop makes you pay for your Food first.... then give you hassle about how you want your bread cut.... The sandwich itself was not really that good nor was it bad... it was mediocre... I would of eaten it there but the vibes was so nasty from the one guy.... so it went home.... I kindly praised and thank the 2 young employees(young guy and young lady), .... they really need to train the uncovered bearded man on customer service ... I'm one who really like giving great reviews... I seldomly give negative reviews.... but 3 days later here I am..... I was going to ask the them to cater our medical conference .... but after the nasty customer service NO THANK YOU!!! I will not be returning. Once inside walking to the register to look at the menu I asked a question about a specific sub and one of the staff replied all our sub's are cold you can go to subway next door and I said I know where I'm at and what I'm talking about and didn't ask where I need to go. Another staff worker said a smart comment also.The entire time I'm looking around and the restaurant was not clean and I had already changed my mind about purchasing anything from here. It was ratchet, ghetto,terrible energy,terrible customer service,terrible cleanliness and presentation. Palmetto Sub's has great sub's but this particular location needs some NEW professional workers with customer service experience and manners or shut down until then. Read moreFor you customers that experienced good customer service just stick around there for a little while longer and I guarantee you will have a quick change of heart. I have witnessed the workers being rude and hanging up on customer's for no reason. They refuse to answer the phone at night and if they answer they will tell you that they are no longer taking call in orders after 8:30 pm. I asked if thus was corporate and the employee stated yes. I asked for the number to the corporate off and was told he didn't have it. I asked for his name because he was so rude. I explained that I was a regular customer and asked for his name so that I referemce when I contacted corporate. He stated that Quincy was his name and that he did not care.
