So.. to begin tonight I ordered online due to the fact that the last time( a week ago) I went the wait in drive thru after I ordered was nearing 45 minutes I drove off. So I figured order online walk in get my food. Ha! No instead I walk my order isn’t ready other customers are waiting in the dark customer service area as they obviously turn out lights early when I tell them my order they tell me that they were out of popcorn shrimp for kids meal. Ok well can we substitute one piece of catfish as my daughter wanted either shrimp or catfish I was then told they could not do that due to food cost ok sure whatever I ordered chicken tenders for substitute and paid extra for 1 piece catfish. Now the looooong wait begins. As myself and other paying customers waited the staff is no where to be seen. Two teenager girls walked from the back to the lobby to meet with two teenage boys and then hung out with them in the lobby while myself and other customers waited about 10-15 minutes go by and the two teenage boys are 4-6 bags of food for free once again while us paying customers are waiting on our food. We were all told we were waiting on fish. Well we were waiting for them to feed the two teenage boys apparently. Also, so much for food cost right. They got somewhere around 100 dollars worth of free food. Now as all this going down the manager is nowhere to be seen. Once I and another couple(customers waiting) saw this we are now upset and demand refund once the manager reappears while the two teenage girl employees are being disrespectful towards the couple. I demanded my refund but was told I would have to go online to get my refund. I stated then that I will wait because I don’t want to have to wait several days to hopefully get a refund. Meanwhile the employees are all lost as to what orders belong to who there people in drive thru waiting for over 30 mins or more. I eventually after almost an hour received my food in which they manager did give me an extra piece of catfish( remember food cost) and apologized. She was the only one that truly cared the rest of staff was rude and customer service was no existent. Feel bad for manager as the staff truly doesn’t respect her. I’ll never go back to this Captain D’s again....
Read moreMy family and I have visited this location 2 times in the past couple of months and on all of those occasions the service was terrible and our order was incorrect. On the first occasion, we understand when the establishment is busy there may be a wait time, but our wait time of 45 minutes was due to the our order being overlooked by the staff preparing the orders. When asked to speak to the manager, the manager was in back preparing orders and spoke to us through the window and did not come to the front counter. When the order was given to us, there were several items missing and to get correct, we waited another 20 minutes. We left the store after the order was correct and at no time, was there any apology for the poor service, the incorrect order and the long wait time. To note, there was a lot of horseplaying by the employees in the front counter, there were people that came from the back to get drinks and stood around talking all while customers were waiting extremely long wait times for their order. On the second occassion, the experience was similar, the customer service, terrible. When we got home, we checked our order and there were missing items. We called the restaurant, and was told that the order was to be checked before we left the store. My husband explained that the cashier did not open the containers and confirm the order was correct and the person that answered the called became very aruguementative with him and the basic resolution that was given was to come back immediately and get the item that was missing or there was nothing else that would be done. Again, the on top of the customer service being terrible, the order was incomplete and we were blamed for the incompetence of the staff. There was a time that Captain D's restaurant was a great family restaurant where you could get great food and great service, but I see now that is not the case. I am sending this email with the hopes of the unprofessional, incompetent service can be addressed so customers will again visit Captain D's. Read moreI will never visit this location again. Back in the spring I was getting food here every week, but after twice getting my order wrong I quit going there. Today I pulled in at 5:30, there was a line and I could not pull up to the speaker, the order taker kept saying "go ahead with your order". The car in front of me had his window down and blasting music, I asked the order taker if she could hear me. "yes ma'am". I spent a few minutes giving her the order and her repeating it back, 3 times she repeated the order. I get to the window and find that she had not rung up 1 of the 3 sandwiches, so I had them add it. They placed the 2 sandwiches in separate containers, what a waste, then we waited 20 minutes for a fish sandwich. She gave me the sandwich, in another container and bag and said "there's your order". I asked where the rest of the order was, and she got 2 cheese cakes out and placed them in the bag with the rest of my hot order. I asked about the strawberry toppings and she said they were not on the order. I demanded she give them to me, and she told me they were 29 cent each. I insisted she give them to me because of the long wait for a sandwich. I pulled out my phone to call the number on the window, but she handed me the toppings. All I wanted was to leave, it was then 6:00 and I needed to be in Irmo by 6:30. I did not open the other hot stuff until later, I got 4 fish 1 side, and did not receive the add on of 4 pieces of chicken I paid for, almost 5 dollars basically stolen from me.
