Well let me start by saying, I have dine at several top steakhouses, Flaming Ember, Ruth Chris, Rick Erwins, Long horns, Texas Roadhouse, Outback and Larkins on the River, and Halls Chophouse. And I was completely dissatisfied. I took my husband here for Father's Day. We had reservations. The atomsphere was quinte and the music was inviting. The greeters and server were professional and polite. I was totally disappointed with the food. We order a collosal lump crab cake, the portion was that of a grocery freezer purchase. But it was tasty. We moved on to a casaer salad and loaded baked potatoe with a porterhouse for two.The baked pototoe was delish but it was over cooked and I could see were the potatoe was overcooked and burned near the skin. The salad was mediocure, my husband and publix prepare better salads. Our waiter kept telling us he thought the steaks were the best in town--- it would have been wise for him to say nothing because he didnt know our experince with steakhouses. We had to ask for our bread. One server took our dinner napkins and had we had to ask to bring them back. The porterhouse was less than room temperature when it arrived. If you tell me you cooked a steak at 1700 degrees. I expected the steak to be warm. I know steaks need to rest for the favor to emerse but this was not that. The filet mignon was very chewy and the New York strip was some what dry. I resisted the urge to ask for steak sauce or butter because the taste of the steak is the point of eating it no fillers or additives needed when it's cooked properly. However the guest next to me did ask for steak sauce and that was a sign. I have been eating at steakhouses since I was a child but as stated before I was highly...
Read moreMy husband and I dined here for our first time and did not have the experience we hoped for. Our reservation was for 8:00 pm, and we were seated around 8:20, the restaurant was very busy, so that was understandable even with the reservation. The first bottle of wine we ordered was no longer available. We ordered the 40 oz tomahawk ribeye, loaded potato, and crispy Brussels. We waited for food for a while and ended up ordering an appetizer in the meantime, our server apologized. Another individual came to our table and apologized for our extensive wait and informed us that our steak had been cooked incorrectly and they were having to re-make our order. We were understanding, but almost 2 hours into our dinner with entrees. Our food was not brought to our table until 10pm! We ate a few bites and had the meal boxed up. The waitress apologized and offered a complimentary dessert, which was nice but did not seem sufficient (not her fault) we ordered a few espresso martinis to go with the dessert. Overall the atmosphere was nice and so was our server. 3 stars because we re-heated the food the next day but it was still good. However it is ridiculous to have this type of experience when expecting a fine dining at this establishment.
UPDATE** The manager was kind enough to offer a certificate for us to visit and dine again. Our second experience went much smoother and we were pleased with our evening! We were shocked and pleased with the sincerity from this establishment! This time we ordered the whole lobster, tomahawk ribeye, cheesey potatoes and asparagus with wine and espresso martini's for dessert! The lobster was delectable and I SO enjoyed the table side service of...
Read moreLong story short, we waited at the table 1hr40min and never got food before we had to leave - zero apologies from manager. We had reservation at 6:30. We arrived at 6:18 but were seated right away on the patio. From 6:18 to 7:40, we saw our waitress exactly twice.. once for drink order, which took 30min to arrive. Second was when she finally brought the drinks, and we told her we needed to put our order in right away because we had to leave by 7:40. That was at about 6:40 and was the last time we ever saw her. Someone brought bread and butter, but there was no silverware or knives. I got up and asked someone for a knife. Finally at 7:25, still no food, I went to the front desk. They brought out the namager, who never apologized and offered to box up our food. You want to sell me a $73 steak, $30 chicken breast, and assortment of $13 a la carte sides in a freaking box??!? I told him it would be least disagreeable if we could get the food right now to salvage what was left of our anniversary dinner. He said OK and walked away. I sat down for another 15 minutes, no one ever came to the table. I left $40 on the table for the drinks and we left. That was only because my wife made me, and as far as I'm concerned you owe me $40 plus an hour and a half of my life back. I am 45 years old and I can honestly say this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and at those prices! I have had infinitely better service at Waffle House at 2am. No one cared or apologized except the 2 girls at the front. You have my name, phone number, and email address in the reservation, so don't give me your schmaltz about calling whoever-- you have wasted...
