As a dad with a penchant for corny jokes and a love for cheese, I couldn't resist sharing my corn-ucopia of experiences at Puerto Vallarta in Greenville, SC. Brace yourself for a cheesy adventure! From the moment we stepped into this establishment, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vibrant colors and lively Mexican music instantly transported us south of the border (harder to get south of the border than it is to get north) was as if we had stumbled upon a hidden fiesta in the heart of Greenville! Now, let's taco 'bout the food! The menu at Puerto Vallara was a gastronomic delight. We started with their famous corn chips and salsa, which were so addictive, we couldn't stop munching on them. The queso dip was like a melty blanket of cheesy goodness that made us say, "Holy Guacamole!" And speaking of guacamole, their homemade version was a creamy dream come true. It was so good, it made us avocado-addicts! The main course was a fiesta for our taste buds. The fajitas were sizzling with flavor, and the chicken enchiladas were a cheesy sensation. And let's not forget about their signature dish, the chimichanga. It was a deep-fried delight that left us feeling like we had hit the food jackpot. The portions were generous, ensuring that no one left the table hungry. It's safe to say that Puerto Vallara knows how to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. But wait, there's "mole"! The ambiance at Puerto Vallarta was as delightful as the food. The restaurant was adorned with colorful sombreros, maracas, and even a piñata or two. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel like part of the family. And let's not forget the margaritas! They were the perfect accompaniment to our Mexican feast, and we may have had one or two... or three! Grab your sombrero and head on over to Puerto Vallara a corn-ucopia of fun and flavor. Ole!

Large restaurant, great for large parties. Service was spot on although it wasn't extremely busy. They start you with a basket of fresh chips and a creamy bean dip. They have a salsa bar so you can choose your level of heat. The food came out hot. I had their chili poblano lunch special. I love the milder flavor of these peppers along with the melted cheese inside. The do put a breading and fry them but it leaves the breading mushy. If they could change that breading or air fry it or plunge it quickly in a deep fryer, to crisp it up, it would be awesome. My dish was served with refried beans and rice. The hubby had the lunch Texas fajitas that came with tortillas, beans and rice and toppings of guac, pico , etc. He liked the meal and it was a lot for a lunch portion. He didn't finish the beans or rice. Prices are in line with other Mexican restaurants, actually you get more on their lunch options than other places. Wish they were closer but a good option when we are o in that area.

Wow bloody wow… Just love it when my wife and I travel and spontaneously find spectacular places like this authentic Mexican restaurant. Their menu is abundant, the salsa bar is amazing and the Molcajete is out of this world. I would dare to say it was the best we have ever had. What a treat, what an experience. Best of all was the service. Our server “Heylin” treated us like family from start to finish. 3 Thumbs Up & 5 Stars from the Mrs. & I.

Tough time, this time. Start with the positives, group of 5 seated quickly, and food was good. Negatives: our waitress struggled the entire time. Ordered 4 of the drink specials(lime margarita, big glass), delivered most of them except mine. No biggie, I don’t mind waiting. We place our food order, and she has to come back two additional times to clarify what we wanted. No problem maybe it’s been a tough day. Fast forward 10–15 minutes no drink. Food comes, looks and taste great. About halfway through food, when She comes back to tell me they ran out of the glasses they serve the drink in. I say it’s fine, just cancel the drink. She apologized I said no worries. We finish up, ask for some boxes and the checks. She brings them back but charged us full price for the margaritas. Not in the best mood at this point but talk to her and get her to fix 3 checks. We wait for about 10 minutes before the manager comes over and tells us he fixed the price of the margaritas on the checks, the wrong size got rung up. Cool, fine, just trying to leave at this point. The waitress comes back with the fixed checks and says it’s our fault the size was wrong, said we specifically ordered the jumbo, when we ordered the special. (We were very specific that we wanted the special because of the struggle she had with the food, to the point where we said, “we will take 4, of the $7.99 specials, thank you.” then pointed at the sign) when we say we ordered the special she said no, that we’re wrong and is our fault about the difference of the drink. Takes payment and doesn’t talk to us again. We’re pretty frequent customers, 2-3 times a month but this was a bad experience. Food: 4...

This is the second time I have eaten here. The first time was a to-go order. We were running late picking it up.(we got there about 30 mins after we ordered) and they still didn't have it ready. They acted as if they didn't even know we had ordered. It was late, so we let it go. Tonight however, we are sitting here at 8:30. There are about 6 tables. The server got our order, and then never checked on us again. She came to all the tables surrounding, but never us. When the food came out, it was another server that brought it. Even though my husband order rice and had to repeat that he wanted rice while ordering, she still did not order. The other server quickly brought out some rice. Which was cold. We both got shrimp quesadillas, the tortillas were cold, but burned, the shrimp was tough and also cold. Our drinks were never refilled. Not once. Finally the server comes over after having checked on all the tables around us and I asked to speak to a manager. I explained that we would be willing to pay for the half a quesadilla that my husband ate and the half watery cheese dip that we ate. He said we would have to pay for the rice! You mean the rice that your server couldn't even put in the computer and that was cold when brought to our table? He said he would take care of it. When my husband paid, we still had to pay $16. For a quesadilla and cheese dip??? I am not normally a complainer. I have worked food service for years and I don't want to be "that person" but I will not return to this place. And I will let everyone I know that this is a sub par restaurant and that Monterrey's near furman or compadres on North pleasantburg are...
