SInce moving from Miami to the Upstate, I have visited multiple Eggs Up locations, and have always had a good experience with good food. We moved from Greer to Inman recently and by far this is the worst location. Maybe it was an "off" day? But tables were dirty, bathroom was dirty, waited 30 minutes for cold food, AND cold coffee. Even my kids were asking to go to another location next time. I will be calling and asking for a refund. Just overall bad experience.
Follow up: I called this morning 10/26 9:15 and spoke with the manager, and she was hesitant on giving a refund. She initially offered to comp next meal which I declined, for the simple reason that it was a overall bad experience and quite frankly dont want to return to THIS location. Then she rudely asked why I did not mention it at that moment in. My response was, I came off a graveyard shift and did not have the energy to discuss on my birthday. So she finally reluctantly gave in, and I gave her my information, and she promised to call me back in a "few minutes" when the process was complete. I thought maybe people were in front of her. I called back now at 1pm, and when I asked if she was able to process the refund, she fires back "I told you I would do it, and have not yet", so then I said she was supposed to call me back in the morning, her next response was "I had trouble finding your ticket". WTH?? I kindly reponsd with "i gave you all of my information...name, ticket, time, waitress, amount, What do you mean you couldnt find it? She fires back " I am DOING NOW"...I kindly asked for her name and she hung up.
So now I had to call back, and speak with someone else to get her. If there WAS ANY CHANCE I would be going back, that window is gone. Any the possibily of me stepping foot in any Eggs Up location has dramatically gone down as well. I might as well drive to the Coach House in...
Read moreThis place was actually pretty good when they first opened. However, it didn't last and now I see many other people saying the same thing. I had a couple of bad experiences about a year and a half ago, so I stayed away for the past 18 months. Decided to give them a new chance today, but now I regret it miserably. Placed a to-go order this morning. Ordered the French toast, home fries, and bacon breakfast for myself. I asked specifically for the bacon and home fries to be "very well-done and crispy". Is that such a hard request to fill? The bacon was so undercooked and rubbery, and the home fries were soft, mushy, and soggy with absolutely no crisp or crunch. The French Toast looked great from the top-side, but when I tasted it I had to spit it right out because it was terrible. I turned the French Toast over, and the bottoms were all hard, charred, and burnt solid black on the entire underside! You know darn well that whoever cooked it saw and knew that it was burnt on the bottom, yet they still sent it home with me? Why!?? I couldn't believe it- my entire breakfast was ruined and completely inedible. What a waste of money and a tip! So upset, disappointed, and still so hungry! I have given this establishment more than their fair chances to redeem themselves, but no more. The quality of the food I received today was disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. According to quite a few other reviews, sounds like there are some major issues here with a lot of different things, but management simply does not care. That much is obvious. Never again for me after...
Read moreWe used to live coming here to eat. Then I made the mistake of asking for extra butter on my toast last year. Waitress was Christina. She brought my plate to me and there was approximately a tablespoon of butter on all 4 halves ON BOTH SIDES! And it was cold! Fast forward to today, my husband wanted the hash eggs Benedict. He asked that the hash be put on the side. Not a hard request, right? The waitress, again Christina, brings EVERYTHING in separate fruit bowls, egg, hollandaise sauce, fruit and no English muffin. I assume because it wouldn’t fit in a bowl. The cold hash was on another plate. This is uncalled for in todays world. When my husband asked why, she told him the cook didn’t know what he wanted to do with it. Then he said he’d just eat the hash. She pretty much told him where to go. I had one egg and toast. It was all cold and I couldn’t eat for her and 3 others staring at us with a glare. And pointing. So it cost us $10 for no breakfast and a hard lesson learned. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! And apparently no one runs the place or cares what goes on in there. This is the worst customer service we’ve EVER experienced in Spartanburg. And Christina can have a...
