Let's start with the prices... everything is extremely well-priced for the portions you receive. We had the vegetable noodle, eel roll, and tuna roll. At first, we were mistakenly given what looked like a California roll, and my husband is allergic to the crabstick used. I went back in and spoke to them, apologizing because they were busy. They had absolutely no problem fixing it, I only had to wait maybe five minutes.
The food is really tasty! It was so much better than we expected (we eat at a lot of places) considering our past experiences with Tokyo Grill. The workers are efficient and nice, helpful whenever you need it.
Service was perfect even though they were busy. They didn't skip a beat, and when we had an issue with the sushi, they didn't mind and corrected it. I can't thank them enough for that, we felt so bad!
The place is no real frills, it isn't fine dining atmosphere, but it is comfortable. It could get crowded if lots of people choose to eat in.
Overall, this has become our favorite place with one visit. The people, the value, the food,...
Read moreMy girlfriend boasted about how great this place was. She has been craving shrimp tempura. I was excited as I had not been to a Japanese style place for I while. After checking some reviews, a I voiced some skepticism. Being that she had been here before I figured I'd give it a shot.
Big mistake! I ordered chicken tempura and she order shrimp tempura. The food was cooked hard to a crisp, instead of a Imperia texture it was more like overcooked Panko bread crumbs. The mixture of Hibachi Grill veggies was shredded cabbage a few pieces of broccoli. That's it, no soy sauce no spices just cabbage, which was presumably cost on a grill top I guess.
When we informed them , they roll their eyes and offered to remake our order. We said sure, and when it came back it was the same stuff all over again. We asked for to-go boxes and our dinner is now in the trash. The only good thing about this experience was that the cashier initially was very friendly, and they're Maki spring rolls were pretty Kick-Ass. Definitely not worth the $20 I paid. I...
Read moreNot sure what happened here but this place used to be awesome. Fresh, crispy veggies, with freshly grilled meats, with a light sauce... There was only a few different options on the menu. Now there are tons of choices, veggies are no longer crisp or fresh tasting, everything is doused in a thick sauce... It honestly tastes incredibly similar to all the local mediocre Chinese restaurants... I'm sad as this place used to use quality ingredients and you could tell they valued the food they served and it showed.. thats what made the place so great. It's a lot of small simple things that add up, to a not all that good experience. The Volcano roll was loaded with cream cheese, the crab rangoon was over filled but the filling is lacking in flavor, the maki rolls taste like they are filled with water... And half the thickness was actual wanton wrapper... If you'd never eaten here before the changes, it's pretty okay... But if you know, you know. It was worth a drive, and a wait, and the cost, all together. Not so...
