Los Mexicanos Duncan — Restaurant in South Carolina

First time eating at this restaurant. I don’t like giving this type of review. The restaurant itself seemed clean enough and uncluttered. Plenty of staff even though it took us a while to be acknowledged by our server. Our first taste of the fresh chips delivered said their oil was old and needed to be changed the chips had that rancid oil aftertaste. We did not each any more. When our server finally arrived he was not welcoming and seemed rushed. When taking our orders he did not listen to our requests for what type of taco and enchiladas we wanted. So when our food came it was not as we ordered, the ground beef was not seasoned, gray in color and large chunks. The enchilada sauce was clearly canned and there just was not flavor or interest at all. I can’t tell you what the chicken enchilada was like because I didn’t get what I ordered. Our server never came back to check on us. We had to flag him down to get the check. I paid 40 dollars for the meal to go, get there in approximately 20 minutes said be ready in 15. Pay go on my way get home which is only minutes away and pulled food out and my order is messed up, chilli relleno no pepper just cheese and beans which cheese is already hard and cold, my wife and daughter order el pollo loco and did not receive the shells to go with the meal which I paid for and also a bag of chips was stale, so los Mexicanos is by far the worst place ever to eat and especially get take out I WILL NEVER order from this place again and I advise others to beware i should have checked before i left but which is my fault but it's a lesson learned last time something like this happened I thought it was a fluke thing but this the second time there will not be a third time. This is a place we normally visit about once a week. Last night 9/23, our family decided on Mexican. We got there and the place was packed. We got a table and had to wait awhile for chips and drinks, then ordered. Had to remind waiter of cheese dip,which was cool then our food came after about 15 minutes and it was obviously sitting in the window awhile because it too was on the side of cool. Another couple had to ask for the manager because they weren't being waited on and got their food right away. Don't get me wrong, this place is a great place to eat and has great food. It's just that it was obvious that they were understaffed like most restaurants these days. We just have to be patient and understanding. Or, maybe...
