I work in healthcare and speak with pharmacies daily, their pharmacist and technicians, but this Walgreens in Duncan, SC is by far the worse I have had to deal with personally for my sick child. Our doctor recommended calling before diving up due to shortage of amoxicillin in the area. I started calling on my personal cell phone at 23 minute on hold, I thought I mail have gotten lost in the queue, so I used my desk phone with actually pushed me to the doctors line, again placed on another hold. That was fine. How we after 44 minutes on the customer line and the doctors line, both calls ended immediately. I had to call back, this time again on my personal phone they would pick up and put my call on hold repeatedly, in theeantime my mother drove down to the pharmacy, 15 minutes from house. When she arrived no one was in the drive-thru line, she parked and went inside. When my mother went inside, there was one person ahead of no one behind the counter was on the phone. She explained the call issues and they could not explain it. They did thankfully have the amoxicillin, and they filled it quickly for my mother while she was waiting there, but in the meantime, she confirmed the number and she called personally from her cell phone and never got anyone to answer the phone, as she watched. The pharmacist (gentleman) came over and asked if there was something he could help her with, and she explained the phone issues that we have been having trying to get ahold of a tech before driving up there give shirtgae on antibiotic and that she was on hold as they were speaking and no one was addressing her call. He said he take 8 calls an hour about 3 minutes each, well then why did my daughter wait in total over an hour never got you and can hear a man’s voice in background as the call is answered and placed back on hold? The pharmacist said “he doesn’t know you got the prescription so What’s the problem?” He was completely rude. We will be changing to Publix...
Read moreI had an extremely bad experience at this pharmacy. The staff were incredibly rude, and they even tried to give me the wrong medicine. When I went inside, I witnessed the cashier at the pharmacy window yelling at an elderly lady because she couldn't reach her card at the window. This unprofessional behavior was just the beginning.
When it was my turn to be helped, the lady who initially assisted me went to get someone else. This new person was even ruder and became visibly angry when I called someone to inform them of the situation. She told me I was banned from the pharmacy, called me a racial slur multiple times, and insisted that the manager was not in and that she was the next in charge.
Determined to resolve the issue, I eventually found the real manager, who shockingly turned out to not be the person who had just claimed to be the manager. She refused to give me my medicine and reiterated that I was banned from the pharmacy This entire experience was not only distressing and humiliating but also completely unprofessional. I strongly advise others to avoid this pharmacy due to their appalling behavior and lack of customer care.

Read moreI should give it no stars. I have been using this pharmacy for years and over the last few months I have had to double check all of the medications I receive. Unlike CVS, this place doesn’t have a “quality check” to make sure that all of your medications are correct. Multiple times my medications have come up short. I understand if there is a mistake but pharmacists should be checking behind their techs. I do not want to believe that someone is stealing medication but there has to be a reason why medications come up short. With all of the laws in place this company has failed to assure that people are getting what they are supposed to. I honestly have concerns because people trust the pharmacy to do their job. What if they do this to an elderly person or someone who wouldn’t know to look? Very unprofessional.
