Spent $23.00 on 2 burger meals -specifically asked for LARGE fries -which we received -barely luke warm to cold, and for $23.00??? This was noticed as soon as we sat down and I'm trying to figure out how that could be when I just saw the woman pour the fries from the fries area into the serving pkgs. And, of course, this was done by the same woman handling all the transactions at the register. And, of course, no doubt her hands -without gloves on, were completely sanitized to be handling all the food handling and packaging that she was -apparently, was responsible to do while touching that very sanitized computer ordering screen, as well as any occasional dirty cash handed by customers. So, back to the counter we went with our cold fries 🍟 and waited on fresh hot fries to be ready. Yes, it's a great life! And not just for me, but for all McDonald's customers enjoying that same scenario whenever it should happen. Anyway... that's the story of fast-food. And, while they'll many times have a website on the receipt to contact and advise on our wonderful experience, that did not happen here. As the receipt given was 90% illegible, it was impossible to see any information other than the barely visible ticket number at the top. Not much else I choose to comment on regarding today's experience -and not just there, but I've commented many times past that any out of order service issues are likely never resolved due to the clear and obvious fact that CORPORATE doesn't give a hoot. If they frequented their cash cow on a regular basis they'd get to see it as their customers do. But my guess is they'd rather be having their own dinning out meals in high-end restaurants with their good money made off those burgers and cold fries the rest of us get served. So, bottom line, they leave it all up to sometimes poor management that sometimes don't care or don't know how to keep their own cash cow in...
Read moreThis review is only for my drive thru experience So, look, I get it. McDonald's is McDonald's. You're not paying for amazing quality service. I get it. But, imagine pulling up to the drive thru with this intense desire for an M&M McFlurry. Luckily, there are only 2 cars in front of you. Awesome, you can be in an out super quickly. Except, nope. You're stuck behind the two cars for a good 10 minutes. The first car is STILL ordering. Are they slow? Are they that indecisive? Oh well, You're patient. You can wait for a McFlurry. They're finally done, next car pulls up. Another 10 minutes later, they're still ordering. But you're behind them and now there's cars behind you as well so you can't move anywhere. Finally it's your turn. You pull up thinking "No need to wait on me, I know exactly what I want." but then... nothing. No one is saying anything. "Hello?" you say. Nothing. "Anyone there?" After a couple of minutes of wondering if their speaker is broken, you hear a voice saying "What do you want?" Excuse me. "What do you want?" Seriously? How about "Welcome to McDonald's, can I take your order?" AT LEAST. But anyway, you want your McFlurry so you carry on. "I'd like a small M&M McFlurry, please" Nothing. "Hello? did you get my order?" Nothing.."Did you get it? 1 small M&M McFlurry." "Drive up to the window." Alright, no need to tell you how much it was, you can see the price, no worries. Another 10 minutes behind the 2 other cars and you finally get to the window. Never open, never inviting. Just a piece of glass with advertisements and no sign of anyone on the other side. You pay and wait. FINALLY someone shows up with your delicious treat. They open the window, hand you the small cup, close the window and you're finally free. You drive off onto Wade Hampton, stop at the light, and take your first bite of the McFlurry you were so anxiously awaiting. They gave you an Oreon...
Read moreI went through the drive thru this afternoon to order a mcchicken sandwich, fries and a strawberry shake. I pay and pull up to the second window where a woman handed me my bag and my shake. My shake looked like a vanilla shake with a dash of pink, now I have ordered countless strawberry shakes from mcdonalds before and I KNOW what they look like . So I asked the lady, this is a strawberry shake ? Because it just looks like vanilla, she stared at me with dagger eyes and just says YUP, I told her it looked like just a vanilla shake, it’s barely even pink. She said well that’s how the machine makes it. I was becoming irritated because she didn’t seem as if she wanted to help or fix my issue, she then said “you’re getting on my damn nerves, I can’t handle this shit” . I became so furious but knew I shouldn’t react because MY CHILD WAS IN THE CAR, who heard exactly what she said and began to mock her saying the word “shit” I’m not sure if that’s how this McDonald’s is run but that is so unacceptable. I later then called McDonalds to request to speak to a manager to inform him of the incident and informed him that my chicken sandwich was extremely dry, it was like chewing on cardboard. He didn’t show no empathy to the situation and just kept saying he will take care of it. He did not seem to care whatsoever, so we asked for the store manager, he came back with a he said she said relaying a message . I wanted to speak to the manager personally where he then hung up on me. I have never been so upset with a McDonald’s especially when I wanted to grab a quick bite for my child who hasn’t eaten lunch to be treated that way. How the management allows such things like this to happen...
