Ok, oh my, where to start... So we don't eat a lot of sweets, but every now than then I love a good something...This was not that something. Upon walking in, we were welcomed and offered a complimentary chocolate chip cookie. It was soft and fresh and just okay We ordered a variety of cookies from the butter all the way up to the chipwich and they were all just mediocre. Not a whole lot of flavor. I find more flavor in an oreo for cheaper. Maybe their other items other than cookies are better, but after this visit, I'm kinda skeptical. We did try the peppermint patties and they were okay. For what we spent, I'm highly disappointed. The place is small and cramped. I'll take an oreo any day over this!

One of the Greenville Facebook groups posted a question of who had the best chocolate chip cookies in the area. Several members said it was The Chocolate Shoppe so I had to give it a try. I was given a cookie to sample upon entry. Yes, it is one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. Except for my mother’s, but she’s 1200 miles away. There were also cookie was gooey, yummy, melt in your mouth sweetness. I they had a special, buy one get one free, so I purchased 12 for $8.75. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was great to see that several customers were patronizing this local gem. Please show your support & visit this small, locally owned business. You won’t be disappointed.

My family has been getting cookies and cookie cakes from this establishment for decades and they never disappoint. They have the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had and it’s not even our favorite cookie they offer. That would be the butter cookie, it is simply scrumptious and is my favorite cookie I have ever had. Pictured is a festive Halloween butter cookie cake we had this weekend after the Clemson game. Our family loved this sweet delight after an exciting day in Death Valley. I would highly recommend anything offered. This local staple always delivers a great experience.

I am as shock as everyone else, I can’t believe I found this delightful hidden gem which had been right underneath my nose this whole time; I admit I do frequent this particular plaza a lot due to another store located just a few feet away; however, a nice lady was closing up a store front next to the chocolate shoppe and said good morning, as I was replying to her; I smelt fresh chocolate chip cookies lol and I could not resist. The prices are reasonable and the portions are aswell, I was greeted with a free chocolate chip cookie before the man even asked what I wanted which to me was a very nice gesture which shocked me lol I looked at the wrapper in awe that they would just give me a free chocolate chip cookie just for entering. I drive trucks for a living but I live close by and I have not experienced a old style chocolate shoppe like this before; very simple and well thought out boutique for great cookies & chocolates. I will now become a regular of this establishment; quick side note as I was placing my order another man emerge from the kitchen and interacted with a seem to be regular, he knew exactly what the regular wanted and that’s old school customer service that you can not find anymore because everyone has become...

We don't eat a lot of sweets, but we love to check out small shops such as this one. With a 4.9 overall rating on Google and the fact that this place has been around forever I was really expecting to be blown away. I had such high expectations of this place there was no way I could be disappointed. Unfortunately I was.

We were greeted with free chocolate chip cookies as advertised. They were cold and tasted ok. I bought an assortment 2 chocolate chip, 2 butter, 2 snickerdoodle, 2 country oatmeal and 2 sugar cookies. All very soft and fresh. However they just lacked flavor. The chocolate chip were ok, the butter were flavorless, sugar cookies pretty flavorless as well, snickerdoodle I could taste the cinnamon so I give that one 4 stars, and the country oatmeal was pretty bland as well.

I had such high expectations and just knew this would be a 5 star review. I did try some peppermint patties and they were probably an 8/10. I can't get past these cookies. I've honestly had better cookies at grocery store bakeries.

This place is a staple so take what you want from what I say. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but it...

You wrote a review for The Chocolate Shoppe 3 minutes ago 5.0 star rating 9/8/2017 The Chocolate Shoppe has always been a treat. We have been making our cameos here since the 80s. While my dad would go to the Lake Forest Quickstand for specialty magazines, he would let my brother and I run next door and grab a cookie. For him, I am sure it was a way to keep us out of his hair, but for us it was a special treat that we always looked forward to.

Nearly 30 years later, these cookies are still delicious and unlike any others. You really feel like these are grandma's homemade cookies. The chocolate chip pecan cookies are my FAVE!!!

What I LOVE: You're greeted with a free full-size cookie upon entrance. The cookies are the perfect size - not too big, not too small. There is usually some BOGO special that allows you to buy a dozen or two for the office or a gift without...
