As for cakes I would give this place a 5 star rating; however, their appointment process has been consistently a disappointment. A business can have a really great product but a inhospitable atmosphere will not allow it to go far. I think it would be wise to indicate full terms and policy's to customers prior to their appointment. Whether a custom decides to go with your products or not. In the case of me arranging an appointment for my wedding cake I was accidentally booked for the incorrect date. Which ultimately lead to me waiting another week to get an appoint to discuss the specifications of my wedding cake. The appoint proccess took two weeks! Thats jist to book. While enroute to my appointment I decided to call to ensure that owner was going to be present. She answered and already knew the cake that i wanted based from my previous (3) phone calls two weeks ago. She quoted me a price per slice and questioned my uncertainty over the phone. I asked her about delivery fees (40$ to Fort Jackson) and I asked about the stacking of the cake. She also informed me that half of the price for the cake will be needed. A $250 deposit will be needed to secure my order/appointment. I then told her that this should have been told to me from the beginning prior to waiting to the day of while I am driving to the store. I already set aside cash funds for the cake and I only thought that we were going to discuss the specifics (which I emailed twice, but their E-mail is currently down too). I told her I will not be there by 4:30 then I have to turn around to head back home to get the deposit because I am serious about getting the cake from her bakery. She kept explaining that they dont tell customers this in the beginning because they dont know if they are going to secure the order with them. In my case, i beg to differ...i am not one for taking mulitple trips to handle something that can be done in an...
Read moreWe used this establishment for our first gender reveal and spoke directly with the owner. She completely delivered and we had no complaints. She even came out from the back to tell us congratulations! We asked for baby shower themed cupcakes and we only wanted ONE cupcake filled with the color of the gender. This time around we dealt with others staff members and they not only limited what we could ask for but they also DID NOT listen. The woman who took my order said that they ONLY do red velvet cupcakes and we were not willing to do anything else. This was NOT the case last time. We were able to ask for vanilla cake. Based on how well the cupcakes turned out 7 years ago we didnât see this as a big deal and went along with it. We had the reveal today and everyone was disappointed for the price we paid. The cupcakes were mushy and they include the gender color in ALL of the cupcakes. We had to use spoons to scoop the cupcakes out of the container and they still fell apart. I know eggs are high right now but itâs no excuse to not use them in your batters. The staff was also unprofessional when I picked the order up. It was so weird but they spoke to everyone that entered the building except me. I just canât believe this is the same establishment that we were so impressed with 7 years ago. We wouldnât be so upset but $4.50 each for a basic cupcake that fell apart when touched was CRAZY!! We could have made these at home. And before anyone comments asking why we took the cupcakes⌠the gender reveal was THAT day so we had no choice but to roll with it. That doesnât take away from the fact that THIS is what they were comfortable giving...
Read moreI heard a lot about this bakery. I was in town on business and decided to try it out. As a first time customer supporting I felt very rushed in my selections and the staff were not friendly at all. I brought the red velvet. Honestly it was good, but not worth it. For the atmosphere and attitudes I will stay local. Reading the reviews and ânice nastyâ responses to customers confirms the vibes I felt in there. I did read them prior to visiting but thought I would try them anyway. Not trying to bash but hoping the next first time customer doesnât have to feel the way I did when I visited.
**UPDATE: They never said "Let me know when you're ready." It was more in the vibe of hurry up we have a line. By the way, Google is a search engine and Google reviews is a review site. Social media would be Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. I didn't go there and I won't. My review was to bring to yours and future customers attention, but you don't seem to get it. You said I wanted to bash so I came straight here. I've seen that line on another post. I didn't come STRAIGHT here as my visit was weeks ago. I didn't bring to the manager's attention as I mentioned no one was friendly and I felt rushed. So obviously I would feel the managers wouldn't be receptive to the way I felt when I was there nor would they have took time. Again, your responses to customers show you lack professionalism and management skills. Professionals and managers don't reply nice nasty responses back to customers. They build and learn from it and try to make it better for the next customer. Sorry you took my review the wrong...
