Bev and I drove into the parking lot around 10:00 am. We found a handicap parking spot right by the ramp. Easy access for two older ladies making our way in. We stepped into the main entrance and the first thing I noticed was the wonderful aromas of food and coffee welcoming us there. Followed quickly after that pleasant experience Dan greeted us from behind a large horseshoe shaped area with tall chairs spaced comfortably around.
Dan further stated that we could sit anywhere we wished. We found a nice booth overlooking the creek. The tide was out and it was just coming in. This was our first time here. A friend at Leeâs Inlet Apothecary recommended Nealâs Creekhouse to us. Iâm thrilled we changed our plans to go elsewhere and came to eat here.
Dan came right over to take our drink orders. Orange Juice ,coffee and sweet tea were our preferred drinks that early in the morning. It did not take long to make up our minds of what breakfast we wanted. The Deuce was our choice With our own take on it. The same but different in how we like our eggs. They accommodated us perfectly. I really enjoyed the Grits. I had mine with butter, salt, and pepper. Bev had hers with cheese. The portions of our meal were large. Neither one of us could finish everything but we gave it our best try.
While we enjoyed our drinks we continued to familiarize ourselves with the menu overall and naming our favorites. I looked around and watched the staff for a bit and I noticed how well Dan, Leeann, and Erica worked well as a team. Erica was friendly and helped the others without being asked. If they saw something needed to be done they just did it. The tables around us was enjoying their breakfast as well.
Our food came quickly and Leeann brought me another juice per my request. She too was friendly like Dan.
Dan frequently stopped by the tables to pour more drinks, take empty plates or just chat for a bit. Everyone pitched in to help bring food to the tables. Leeann brought a spoon over for me as I spill everything with a fork. My hand shakes. They made no comments about my handicap but treated me like everyone else. We had lots of fun and smiles.
Bev told me she was really enjoying her breakfast and that we would come back here again. I wholeheartedly agreed. Dan introduce us to Josh the manager and he was extremely kind and pleasant.
Thank you for a wonderful breakfast experience. We will be back. Willie and...
Read moreMy husband and I tried this place for lunch for the first time yesterday. After driving by several times and always seeing the parking lot full, we figured it was a good place. We were greeted cheerfully as we entered, seated immediately, and our friendly waitress, Kiara, appeared and took our drink order. She brought our drinks quickly and answered our questions about the menu. We both ordered the burgers. I also ordered the shrimp and crab chowder. The burgers were large and juicy with quality lettuce and a large slice of decent tomato. The bun was soft and not too large. The truffle fries needed a bit more seasoning and herbs. We are from Maryland, so the crab, shrimp and corn chowder was not the best. It needed more corn, crab and shrimp, and less potato. A bit of heavy cream would have improved the taste and texture. All of the people who work here are very dedicated, and several came over to ask us how things were going, and if we needed anything. We said we were fine and that Kiara was taking good care of us. Kiara came frequently to check on us all throygh our meal, and when she told us that beignets were on the dessert menu, we were delighted. She described them in detail including the blueberry sauce and whipped cream. We loved the beignets, but couldn't finish all five, so we took two home. Kiara refilled our drinks, and offered to prepare take out cups for our iced tea. A suggestion on the beignets; consider offering confectioner's sugar instead of, or on addition to, the cinnamon. There was a lively group at the bar, and it was quite noisy with boisterous laughter. We were impressed that they have live music, but we were there in mid afternoon before the entertainment started. All in all, our visit to Neal's Creekside was very pleasant, with our attentive server, Kiara, the highlight of the experience. We are Murrells Inlet locals, and we will return. When we do, we'll bring friends and we will definitely...
Read moreWe visited for the first time last night, party of 11 seated at 1745 after arriving at 1700 which for a party this large was impressive. The hostess kept us informed concerning the availability of our table and was very polite. Our server Trevor was great. Very personable and attentive. Our meal arrived within a short time which for a Friday night at 1745 was a surprise. The noise level made it neat to impossible to talk amongst our party or hear the servers recommendation. The restaurant was packed. I ordered tuna nachos which was a very large order, tasty but a little dry as well as a margarita. The drink came in a small 4 oz glass w lots of ice. I would be surprised if there was 3 oz of drinkâŚway over priced IMO for $7.00. Four dips and it was gone. The rest of our party ordered burgers, Reuben sandwich, salads and chic wings. Wings were small and overdone, salad was ok and burgers dry. The onion rings were thick w breading, several of our party left theirs. Reuben was shredded, not much seasoning. Overall IMO I wasnât impressed secondary to the food and drink. Probably would not return as I feel it is just another restaurant with bar food. As an addendum parking is a nightmare and handicapped spaces are not as accessible but golf cart spaces are right up front. Not sure how a wheelchair would navigate the parking lot. They should be moved to the front of the restaurant. I sincerely hope the owners are successful however itâs...
