Pig Out BBQ #2 — Restaurant in South Carolina

The Brisket and the ribs are my go to's on the menu. But I would like to add a word about service. This afternoon, my wife Judy and I had the honor of visiting with some veterans in several assisted living facilities. It was truly a blessing. We had been to one place, looking for a take home and bake, but nothing really jumped out at us. So we chose to catch some BBQ, PigOut2 has always been a favorite. We ordered take out and it was just a few minutes and we were excited. I will admit, I was a little unhappy, so I called to make sure I had ordered correctly, Brisket with three bones. Ate here on Friday and while the food tasted great, I became seriously ill shortly after. We called the restaurant simply to let them know what I had eaten, in case anyone else reported getting sick. Instead of showing concern or appreciation for the heads-up, the staff became defensive and incredibly rude—insisting it couldn’t have been their food and that it must’ve come from somewhere else. Even said, “What do you want us to do about it?”

We ate here tonight 30 mins before closing with 2 teenagers and a newborn. I know how some restaurants can be when someone walks in that close to closing but everyone here was great. We were immediately welcomed with a warm smile and greeting upon entering. They gave us time to look over the menu which is written on a huge chalk board wall. We ordered the BBQ, hash, French fries, slaw, green beans and peach cobbler and oh man was everything amazing and you could taste the homemade in it.
