Randolph Artisan Italian Ice & Gelato — Restaurant in South Carolina

I've been a few places around the world and this place, by far, has the best gelato I've had so far. The flavors were true to the fruit and...well...perfect. it was a perfect balance, not too sweet and just the correct amount of fruit flavor to make you think you were eating it fresh from the tree/vine. Weird experience. Wanted to review this place due to a majority of the positive reviews.

However, a common negative complaint is the place being closed during listed open hours.

I went by around 3pm on a Saturday and low and behold... closed. I read the reviews and the owner left a number, so I texted to see if hours had changed. No reasons as of 4 hours later.

I absolutely love Randolph's homemade (with fresh ingredients) Italian Ices and Gelatos. I usually get the 4 scoops sampler so that I can get my favorites (usually banana pudding Gelato & one of several chocolate gelatoes he makes) along with 2 new flavors that I haven't tried.
