Cane Bay/Nexton has a new ice cream shop! I got the Roundabout which is named after our infamous roundabout in our neighborhood that gets complained about a lot because it’s a hot mess 😂 The flavor is peanut butter ice cream with caramel ripples, brownie bits, and chocolate covered pretzels. I don’t normally go for peanut butter anything but I loved the name and it was SO good! I also got the campfire s’mores which was also delicious with big ol chucks of chocolate and big patches of marshmallow. My kid got blue moon (she loved and ate the whole thing) and the hubs got butter pecan and rocky road. The portions were HUGE. Service was good and this place is just so fun. We loved the quality of their ice creams and 50 flavors to choose from!! I’m so excited with how close this place is to our house too. Cane Bay really needed an ice cream shop. Excellent customer service! They were busy but the ladies were patient and scooped with a smile. They have a plethora of ice cream flavors, including multiple ways to enjoy — milkshake, flights, nachos with waffle cone pieces, scooped. The quality is amazing, comparable to Coldstone. The prices are reasonable as well. There are flavored waffle cones - mint, espresso, red velvet, etc. They also have cookies, two for $2. I ordered the nachos ($9) which comes with three scoops of your choice, a crushed waffle cone to scoop, hot fudge or caramel, and whipped cream. Chocolate chip Cookie dough was great, typical taste. “Those Fudgin’ potholes” is soo creamy and chocolatey with chunks of marshmallow, chocolate chunks, & Oreos. “Cake Batter Fudge” is smooth with chocolate frosting swirls & brownie chunks. One star taken off because ice cream cake is no longer available. It is still on their menu. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she requested an ice cream cake. Our go to place used to be Bruster's every year for all of our family members birthdays but ever since they closed we really haven't had a replacement 😭. Absolutely loved 😍 the atmosphere! The colors, graffiti, everything was cheerful and welcoming. Service was excellent by the young lady serving us. The ice cream options are plentiful and absolutely delicious 😋 I chose the staff recommendation. I forgot the name of it but it's chocolate, marshmallow, and Oreo pieces.
