Been going here on and off for the last year and spend good amount of money to do so. The lady that works the front is one of the rudest people I've ever met in the food and beverage, and I've been working in it for 17 years. I'm in fact a manager at a restaurant and 10-15 min away. The place says it's open till 10:30 pm on the weekends and I placed my order at 9:54 expecting to be there and by 10:20 at the latest, I tip very very well. I'm on the way already at 10 and the lady called me and said "You better be here in 10 min" I thought I might have heard her wrong and said excuse me? Mean while I had to stop on my motorcycle to answer her phone call. And she repeated it louder then followed up with I close at 10:30. I said ma'am I'm already on my way and I still technically have 30 min to get their. She gave me another be here in 10 min. I get there and she looks at me than the gentleman and mumbles in her prefered language. The gentleman is very nice and I've never had an issue with him. This isn't my first issue with this lady but it will be the last or maybe 2nd to last I haven't decided if I want to actually go in and confront her on a professional level but I will never order from this place nor ever send people to them.
P.S. If this establishment is owned buy a husband and wife, the wife will become it's own undoing if...
Read moreI have never left a bad review before because I never had to but this will be my first. I walked in the Tokyo Express yesterday and there was a rude lady behind the counter, she asked me "what you want" I was ordering and she rolled her eyes, had an attitude, she repeatedly said "Order, order,.. ".. I was shocked, I was 1 second from walking out that place, then she says.. "I can't hear you through the Plastic protection". Okay, I get it, it might be hard to hear but she did not have to yell at me and have an attitude. Food was not bad, but that lady needs to be trained for customer service or simply find another job that she likes better. I feel bad for this place as they will loose a lot of customers because of this rude attitude lady, they sure lost my business, I liked the food but the problem...
Read moreSo just to be clear up front, we are reviewing a restaurant called Tokyo Express serving Americanized Chinese. The bar is already pretty low.
That being said, I ordered Egg rolls, Szechuan Chicken, and Roast Pork lo mein.
The Szechuan Chicken was bland, lacked the color or cooking style that defines Szechuan food. The sauce on it was lacking in spice and heat.
The Lo Mein noodles lacked the proper chew and the ingredients added ranged from overcooked to undercooked.
The Egg rolls tasted bland and made me think of something out of the frozen aisle.
In summary if you're hoping for authentic Japanese, don't go here, if your expecting authentic Chinese don't go here. If you're wanting American Chinese and you've no other options. Eh, .....
