Sidewall Pizza Company — Restaurant in South Carolina

Here's the thing: I just got off work, had run thru today on one drink (a combination of coffee and protein drink), so was starving! And, had just come from trying out a different restaurant that was a complete disaster before you even reached the chair! SO, this place is now EXTREMELY high on my "must go to" places! They seated me promptly, were exceptional in their service and care....and the food, despite being so hungry, it was WOW!! The low down: I ordered the Urban Reisling to drink, the (seasonal) Peach Salad (they also have a seasonal variant in a pizza), and a half & half pizza; half the Roasted Mushroom Pizza, and the other half my favorite mushroom (regular), bacon, and jalapenos. The sauce was Roasted Garlic. All I can say is I brought most of the pizza home (turned out they close at 9...I had thought they closed at 10...so totally my bad, yet again, they gave zero pressure for me to leave) and shared one piece with my senior standard poodle, Aria. Although she had food all day, she also gave this her paws up, whining for me to give her more!! On that note, they also had a sign in front that pets are welcome on their patio. So, the BEST!! I’m so happy we stopped at Sidewall Pizza Company yesterday approximately 11:50 am. I had friends visiting from out of state and I just wanted to share your amazing pizza and salads. We were in a hurry - as I was taking friends to airport for a 2 pm flight home. We told the hostess - who was also going to be our server we were very short on time. She was pretty sure if we ordered salads she could get us in and out in 50 minutes. She was amazing - unfortunately I didn’t get her name. We had 3 scrumptious salads - a Greek w chicken, the classic wedge, and the arugula salad. She was very attentive- but the amazing part was she was hostess and server and they had a busy lunch. We quickly ate, visited, and rushed to take my friends to airport. Yeah they made their flight. I realized I left my purse and called - same young lady found purse still at table and put it away until I returned. I was so thankful!!

Sidewall has semi thin crust pizzas with interesting toppings. None feel like a stunt like some interesting pizza places. Their menu has a small handful of categories by sauce type, each with their own handful of options.You can also make your own choices or cross sauce types.

The dough is good and chewy. It's not flat like many thin crust pizzas but it's not thick like traditional Pizza Hut either. Most pizzas offer mozerella and or pecorino cheeses. Sidewall also carries large pepperoni and small ones, each with different heat levels. Sidewall is one of only a few pizza joints with spinach and butternut squash and peach toppings, though the former are seasonal. There's also appetizers and salads here.

They offer several alcohol options and rather than coke or Pepsi the soda products are a craft soda company with fantastic black cherry or cream soda. The dessert menu has ice cream and float options with a small rotating seasonal flavor and healthy options.

The staff is solid and friendly and quick with service. Sidewall also has a monthly club with 50 percent discounts and often free pizzas. You usually get 2 to 3 a month
