Im reading the reviews and thinking maybe i shoud go again. I even saw someone that said she was a cajun girl. I saying to my grandma back in N.O. "she must have had different food granny I honestly tried to give it a chance." Well here are my thoughts and why. Beans burnt in the red beans and rice Gumbo flavor nice but taste like a lot of okra, ...and i love okra, but no meat Lobster bisque horrible Crawfish etoufee taste like flour. Like the roux wasnt cooked long enough. I know etoufee has more flour than gumbo but you shouldnt taste it. Chicken & Sausage jambalaya doesnt taste like jambalaya. It was also dry. Staff was nice and prompt I had no meat in my samples that could be because they are samples. But samples should make you want to order the dish before i got the sample i was going to order gumbo but now that i know its not worth it i am ordering catfish and shrimp Lemonade taste like sugar water I asked to change it to a sprite. Catfish was cook really good but bland had to use my dipping sauces tatar, ketchup. Shrimp was fried and tasted almost perfectly. I hate to leave this, but i have to be honest. Hopefully management looks for this cause they are on to something. I love the menu choices. I love the location and atmosphere... Food just needs some work i read the original owner was from New orleans displaced after Katrina and started this chain. I think he would not be happy with the taste. But when you have a cajun resturant in other states the standards from consumers are not high. Also I must say I am critical because 1. I am a Chef and 2 I was born and raised in Lousiana and Arkansas. Where these dishes are staples.

This was my first time at this location. It was very small and located in a plaza with other stores. However, this little place has a huge personality. Nice music, very very nice waitresses and staff, the restaurant was clean and my food came out hot and fast! I can’t wait to go back and try more food! I definitely recommend this restaurant 🤝🏽

This place has gone downhill sadly. I am a regular custom who brings 3 to 4 people monthly. We started dinner fine and I decided to order something different, my family ordered their standards. I got the trio gumbo and a new waitress rec’d I get it with the “ “ rice, and I said we can do that, which she said sure! Firstly we paid $1 a piece for 7 std mushrooms, nothing great. It was a little high, but whatever. When I got my meal is literally was three 3” x 3” bowls and 1/3 of them were rice. I wish now I would have risked a pic. My son got a very small portion of jambalaya, which was the larger option. We were both still hungry after eating it. My husband got 6 shrimp and a bowl of grits for $20. We orders two Anita beers and they were 6.50 each. The waitress also proceeded to tell my son he could no longero have a small addit. portion of Jambalaya like we have had for many years. When we got the bill it was over $73 dollars. She charged an up charge for her recommendation. I said that she didn’t tell us it was extra and I also was bothered by how small our meals were. She just poked at me abs and asked if wanted to talk to the manager. After she didn’t handle it correctly I said no, I just wouldn’t be coming back. I heard her tell them the manager my complaint and the manager comes to the table, throws the original bill (she didn’t credit the up charge back) on the table and stormed off. No apology, no anything! My husband who was a reg manager at a chain restaurant was dumbfounded and said Shoney’s treated their customers better than that! Anyway, if you want poor customer service and small portions for high amounts, be sure to go to Lost Cajun on Pelham. It’s sad, because it used to be great! I know things are thought, but don’t raise prices and then reduce portions. Seems the times and economy have affected them and they...

This place and our server are a joke! My husband and I were deeply disappointed in the food and service, aside from the appetizer with the dipping sauce, as it surely saved the day.

First off... the server was not all that friendly, and I had to keep repeating myself over and over about what I wanted (which was not complicated at all). I first asked about getting crawfish added to the Shrimp & Grits, but our waitress informed me that they didn't have just "crawfish." I was confused, so I then ordered the Crawfish Etouffee with some lobster bisque mixed in. The waitress turned that simple request into a hassle, and instead of her apologizing for her misunderstanding, I had to, and she literally made me feel like me being thorough was my fault. I don't understand how a simple order can become so complicated. Anyway....

The Crawfish Etouffee on their menu states "smothered" in crawfish. Is that a joke????? My meal consisted mainly of soup (obviously), a tiny amount of rice, and maybe 8 pieces of crawfish. The food was bland (in which I had to spice/fix it up with the cajun on the table) and definitely NOT worth the money. My husband ordered the exact same dish minus the lobster bisque, and his too was pitiful looking and bland. We drove over 3 hours to eat here. Not to mention, the waitress left us without drinks. By the time she wanted to bring us more, we were already done. If it had not been for the appetizer, we would have had to go eat somewhere else right after! And the sad part about the empty drink issue is, there were only 3 tables (including us) in there. What was the issue?? Just a bad overall experience with mediocre food and an unfriendly staff. Idk if it was just that kind of day or what, but we definitely left wondering why this place has...
