Tokyo Grill — Restaurant in South Carolina

I wish I could leave 0 stars. My fiance and I got takeout from there this evening and there are just no words to describe how disgusting it was! We have eaten there many times, usually with good experiences yet tonight the food was deplorable, and the customer service was even worse. To make matters even worse when I called to complain about our order after we got home and tried it I was told that we would be given a free meal next time we come in. I was called back 2 hours later and was told that they wanted me to bring the food back not just the receipt that was after I already told them we live 30 minutes away and that the food was in the trash can where it belongs. The idiot that I spoke to actually said to me well usually when you return something you bring back the item and the receipt, like it's a freaking shirt or something. Nasty food goes in the trash and plus I was already told when I called that I didn't need to bring the food back, just the receipt. I will never eat there again. I came in today after work. After dealing with the public all day and talking from the open to close of my shift I sometimes lose my voice and because I work in retail my ears often hurt after I get off just from all the stimulation I go through. I can read lips and can understand some asl. I had to type my order on my phone and let the man at the counter read it. He was so kind to me, I appreciated him more than he'll ever realize. After this particular work day I'm stuttering pretty bad and felt embarrassed to talk out loud. I am not deaf but a very anxious human. The online ordering was down and I was a little stressed to have to walk in and talk. Great food tonight and I appreciate the kindness greatly. My only complaint is that I can't get my California rolls anymore. I've ordered the same thing for many many years and my order just feels empty...

I normally do not leave these types of reviews, but after questioning this on multiple occasions, this time it was too obvious. I literally just walked out of this establishment and the guy that was serviced before me was a white man and after he received his order, the Asian guy working behind the counter continuously told this man thank you & to have a good day. I was next to get my order and even after I said thank you the Asian guy behind the counter just made a grunting noise and that’s it. This may seem minor to some but this is an issue.
