Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

We went to this location at 9:02 last night, we waited for a while to get our drinks, which were wrong. Then the waiter, an older white man, went over to the other waitress and complained in earshot that he didnt want to take our order because he got off at 9. Apparently the people coming to relieve them were running late, there was only one other table there eating. And we waited and waited, no service. Then the waitress who was not our server went to the back within earshot and told the manager that he was refusing to take our order. She said to tell him to take it anyways. Then when the waitress told our waiter what she said he starts raising his voice, using profane language and says no. We decide to go elsewhere where we can be treated with some respect. We stood up and told them that we are going to leave since they couldn't do their jobs and were being totally disrespectful towards customers. And they never apologized or anything and the manager did nothing about it either. Very poor service, and will never be going back to this restaurant ever again. If it wasn't for the cook, this last visit would be a 1 star rating. Waitress we had last night was horrible. Brings coffee, doesn't offer creamer. Brings Waffle, doesn't bring syrup until we have to ask her for it. Brings steak & no steak knife. When we got there, there were only 2 customers in there, yet 3 dirty tables. Those customers left about 10 mins after we got there. 30 mins later, that table still hadn't been cleaned & neither had the other 3 & no new customers had come in except for 1 lady who ordered something to go & the waitress had left to go to the store so the cook took care of her. Not 1 time did she ask if we would like anything else to drink. The cook refilled my husband's coffee & he offered creamer & was really nice. Honestly, the cook could run the restaurant by himself & it would be better than having her "help". If I go back & see that waitress, I'll go find another restaurant. Maybe she was just having an off day, but this was the worst service I have ever seen in any Waffle House & I grew up in one & it has still been one of my favorite restaurants even after I grew up. Keep driving 2 more miles to the other Waffle house on Whitehorse road and you will get better service. The waitress,Tiffany, was an absolute disgrace to customer service. We waited 15 minutes to order. My Mother in law (60 yrs old) inquired about our food after watching the 5 orders after us go out. Tiffany quickly got very agitated, spoke loudly, was rude, and cursed at her several times. My Mother in law asked for her money back, but Tiffany claimed she couldn't give a refund. Another waitress interceded and tried to de-escalate the situation. She was clearly disappointed in her coworkers behavior and mentions that this happened a lot. Wow! Tiffany decided she would call LAW ENFORCEMENT. Other customers disapproved and some spoke out about how ridiculous she was acting. Bottom line, we DID receive a refund and was told that we cannot go back to that location. Ok! The Waffle house down the street..thank you for turning a mess into a successful food run. (3 people there did better than the 7 at store# 1574) Management please check into this....
