Wendy's — Restaurant in South Carolina

This Wendy’s staff is the worst I have ever experienced in the fast food industry. It’s not that their short staffed or for any other reason they want to claim for terrible service. The employees are just rude and tacky! Last night (1/18/23), I waited at the drive thru speaker for 20 minutes and no one answered. When I drove to the pickup window I observed 3 female workers grouped together talking. One of them had the audacity to look at me in my face and not even respond. They just ignored me . This happened at 7:50 pm on a Wednesday evening! If Wendy’s corporate or the franchise owner thinks it is okay for their staff to treat the community residents rudely every time we patronize the restaurant, then wait until we ban together to have it closed down. Get a better group of workers and maybe your profits will improve. After all the majority of these reviews cannot be wrong if everyone is saying the SAME THING!! I completely love this particular Wendys. I was reading the reviews and saw that many people were speaking about the dining room being closed, the lines moving slow, etc. I have noticed that they have been extremely short staffed and are trying their absolute best. I spoke to one of the workers at the drive thru window after sitting for almost 8 minutes in the drive thru line. I politely asked what was taking so long and she responded extremely nicely and said “maam it is only 3 of us in here and we are trying our best. i apologize for the wait and frustration but we are doing all we can to move this line”. She was such a sweetheart and I honestly felt so bad for her! These employees deserve raises and praises! I could tell she was tired but she kept the upbeat attitude. From the looks of it she was taking orders, taking money, fixing drinks, bagging the orders and hell maybe even running the grill lol who knows… please cut these employees some slack! UPDATE August 2022: It is still awful!! Cold fries, and screwed up a 'don't put any condiments on it' burger order for my son. Got a burger loaded with double amounts of mayo and ketchup. Don't go here.

UPDATE January 2022: This place only gets worse with time. New ‘hot and fresh’ fries are soggy, cold, and over-salted. Bourbon-bacon burger came last night with an old ‘n’ cold patty, burnt bacon, onion strings from 1996, and hardly enough sauce. Absolutely terrible.

Food is typically prepared in a lackluster fashion.

Fries are seldom smoking hot (the only way Wendy's fries are acceptable)

Service is always lacking here - the pervasive attitude here is that you are not a priority and you can wait.

Coke Freestyle machine is ALWAYS sticky and filthy, and commonly has missing flavors and/or drinks. The dining room is really needing a makeover, too many construction workers over the years has ruined...
