For an almost brand new Wendy's location, this place is a joke. This issue has to be management or lack thereof. The store was newly built approximately a year ago and it is CONSTANTLY having problems. I've lost track of the times I have come to the store and left due to some issue. Most often it is related to pulling up to the drive though and being told they are not taking cards. IN follow up to that, it is often not a situation where cash is then permitted, no, exact change has been needed before, though that is the minority of cash circumstances. Outside of that, while I thought their issues were originally the pandemic, this location always seems to be out of something or has something broken. Out of chicken. Out of burgers and can only order chicken. No frosty (which is a cardinal sin of a Wendy's to me, that is literally your thing). The wait times on the drive through window is always extensive that or, on more than one occasion, I have had two people try to take my order or one person will start and another will finish. At times when the wait has been long and you figured you'll go into the store to order, the dining room is closed. I'm sure someone in management somewhere is saying people don't want to work, but by god, pay the people more, or keep stock of items and your machines fixed so that you can properly function as a store to pay your people more. Right on Main St, this store has a perfect location and, for whatever reason, always feels like it is a chicken running around with its head cut off.
When working, I have ordered from the app for delivery. On multiple occasions, the order has been accepted and then nothing for a hour and half or so. Look at the tracker for my delivery person and they're going about your day. On both occasions, I could not get a hold of the store. I had to call my delivery person and they informed me that when they arrived at the store, the store claimed they did not have the order. She explained that it is clearly on her app and mine. Store refused to do anything about it. Had to call Wendy's customer service to complain and get my refund.
Do yourself a favor and go to the Heckle location. I always try to give this store the benefit of the doubt and figure there might be a supply chain issue or some kind of system is out, but the Heckle location runs like a well oiled machine compared to...
Read moreI don't like leaving poor reviews but I'm so over this place. First, let me say the staff are always nice and friendly so that is never the issue. I honestly don't know how this place is in business. I've been a regular customer for the last 4-5 months. I get breakfast and dinner here because there are rarely any lines in the afternoon and no lines in the morning. They are always out of everything! I've literally NEVER seen a restaurant that can't keep their most basic items stocked. It's become a joke at work - people taking bets on whether or not I got what I wanted. So this morning I decided enough was enough. I asked for a breakfast burrito which they are advertising everywhere. Nope, we're out. Can I get a sausage biscuit? Nope, we're out. Nearly everyday it is the same thing. I saw their sign for the Triple Berry Flurry a few weeks ago. I have literally tried on 3 different visits to get one. Weeks later? Still have never tasted one. I've tried getting some of their baked potatoes on numerous occasions and they don't have any ready. Salads? Hit or miss! How are you out of salads? I don't know who owns this franchise, but you better wake up and smell the bankruptcy and closure coming if you don't get it together. This was an amazing Wendy's when they first opened but they now have a reputation of disappointing. Also, it is NEVER a good look when you pull in and there are a group of employees sitting out on the curb smoking - an all too common occurrence. They look disheveled and beat down like someone sucked any joy out of them. When the Bojangles and McDonald's on the same street have cars lined around the building and you have no cars and perhaps only a couple presumed employee cars in the entire parking lot, you should know you aren't doing something right. I hope you find a way to turn this around as I am a Wendy's fan ready to support your business but you have to consistently have the menu items on hand to sell before I can buy. I have stopped at this particular location to purchase chocolate medium frosties for a minute. Myself and a passenger pulled up to the drivethru speaker. We sat there for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes: I stated excuse me, are you open tonight? There was not a response. I repeated myself and the Hostile Male Manager or Teamlead yelled out: Ma'am can you please hold! His tone was both very unprofessional and disrespectful. I replied Sir because he was literally yelling. He replied Ma'am! Fifteen minutes later a person with a soft voice came on the speaker. I requested 2 medium chocolate frosties. The soft voice went silent for a minute and came back on stating that the frosty machine was down for tonight. My response was yeah right! In the background the voice of the Hostile Male Manager or Teamlead was yelling out Yes! Yes! Yes! I said all of that to say stay away from this location.
