Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in South Carolina

Unfortunately, this is the closest Zaxby's to me so I have been coming here for a long time but for the past couple of years the customer service here has gotten unbearable. The most recent experience that led me to finally write a review happened on December 10. We ordered through the app (something we started doing because they take so long to take our order and prepare our food at the drive through), got in the drive through line (because the dining area is always closed) and there was a long line (no surprise.) I noticed people were leaving but just thought it was the usual of them taking long. I get to the speaker and no one takes my order. At this point I'm already suspecting something is going on so I don't wait long before driving to the window. I look inside and there is no one inside. I look at the screens and they are all blank. I figure out that there is literally not a soul in the restaurant and there is no sign anywhere for people to know that the place is closed. I proceed to tell every customer waiting in line that there is no one inside. Several of us in line had made an online order. We tried calling other Zaxby's locations and they couldn't do anything about it. I had no choice but to leave and by this point, I was running late to a Christmas event so I had to ask a relative to get food for my kids. In total, I spent about an hour at the location by the time I finally left. I went by the location later that evening to ask about a refund and all the person said at the drive through was that everyone would get a a refund within 24 hours. Didn't get offered any kind of discount, free meal, not even an apology (so please don't do so now). I am now driving a few more miles to the one on Poinsett Hwy...

i waited almost an hour on a mobile ordered-curbside pickup i had to get from inside the store. the employees ignored me the entire time i waited inside and also ignored my car in the parking lot, they could see me through the drive through/window. i was ignored by every employee until i had to basically shout to get their attention. i had already waited 20 minutes in my car and then 20 MORE minutes inside only to discover my order had been sitting on the counter with 12 other orders the whole time, the employees are LAZY as hell too, most just stood around doing nothing, the others were attempting to do work but couldn’t work a register or a drive through, finally when i got my food it was already cold. not to mention i watched a dasher get ignored too until THEY spoke up, the employee then handed him the cups to which the dasher asked “why are you handing me cups if the counter has premade drinks why do i have to go make these if i’ve been waiting?” and the employee simply said “those have been sitting out for hours?? i thought you were going to the bathroom man idk??” (he didn’t even know what the hell he was talking about i guess?) and then the dasher obviously fed up said something back but i was concerned with other things so i didn’t hear. but this was by far the worst experience ive ever had, i wont be coming back. this...

I showed up at about 6pm & I was greeted by these wonderful gentlemen with low-hanging jeans. They asked me if I wanted a drink - on them as they said - and poured a drink for me on the spot. When I asked about getting 2 Zaxby’s ‘Cluckinator’ meals these wonderful men went ahead & said I didn’t have to pay - it was very kind of them! Thankfully the atmosphere matched the customer service as these gentlemen began playing some hip hop music to lighten the mood & it really hit the spot! The employees were also great as when I brought up that I wanted a side of shrimp, an employee turned to me & said, “I’ll be with you one moment sir.”, and left the store. My family & I were continued our meal until the employee came back not 10 minutes later with fresh shrimp in a fishing net & hand fried the newly caught shrimp right before our eyes. I was about to tip for the wonderful customer service however the low-hanging jeans wearing gentlemen came & said, “We’ll take that for them.” & flashed a 100% off coupon at our general direction so I threw my wallet on the floor & skedaddled with my family, thankfully leaving the scene just fine. This location is really a vacation spot & should be considered for a Top 10 List...
