I visited the Two Notch Road location in Columbia, SC on 7/1/24 shortly after 4PM. I went inside as the drive thru was backed up. Upon walking in, I could see why; several persons were waiting on their order. In short, there appeared to be one person in the back preparing the food. It took almost 30 minutes to get my order. One young man who had already ordered and was waiting on his order when I arrived, only received his order just a couple of minutes before I did. He said that he had been waiting for close to 45 minutes (unacceptable). We learned that there was NO manager on duty, as one person requested their money back. The shift manager "just came in" the person was told upon receiving their refund.
I hope that the owner/operator or general manager sees this post. I understand that it's difficult to get consistent employees these days, but in this case there were three to four young ladies working up front/at the drive thru with no direction, and one person filling orders in the kitchen. A manager should always be present at each shift. When you have young employees without management available, situations as these often occur. I hope that this location does better in the future. This location used to be better managed with quality service. Zaxby's (Two Notch Rd location) needs...
Read moreFor anyone who wants Zaxby's, I recommend going to the one on Clemson or Killian. Too many times I've been burned with poor service, mediocre food and this last one takes the cake. I'll not be spending money at this location again, clearly something needs to change with this location, and at this point I won't be surprised to see this place closed.
There's only so many times you can deal with a place before you have to leave a bad review. I ordered a doordash from this place, only to never have the order confirmed by the restaurant...well, silly me thinking doordash was the issue I canceled my order and drove here. Surprise! The store had a note on the drive through that they were closed at 7 due to staff shortages. The order I placed via doordash was done around 5:30... almost 2 hrs before I finally got tired of waiting and drove there. Now yes, I could have done that to begin with, but these days, work hours stretch well past 5, so I couldn't stop to leave and go there in the middle of that. Instead, I get no dinner and a wasted trip anyway. All they had to do is let doordash they weren't able to fill the order! Poor management all around, much less the times I've heard of others going here and seeing the employees...
Read moreThe first time I visited here, the employees were playing and laughing so hard when I approached the speaker to place my order, they couldn’t even hear me and had to keep asking me to repeat myself. This time, I’m approaching the restaurant, I notice a tent where the person taking orders usually sits. No one was there so I pull behind the vehicle ahead of me in line. Slowly making our way to the speaker, still no one approaches vehicles to take orders. I reach the speaker and I’m told “I can’t take your order, there’s someone outside to do that”. Obviously there’s no one outside or so many people would not be waiting at the speaker to order. I’m then told to DRIVE AROUND TO GET BACK IN LINE!! By this time the line I literally around the building! I called and spoke to management who simply says “someone was outside, I saw her”. Now, added to not getting lunch on my break, I’m called a liar or BLIND! This type of behavior will have your establishment under water QUICKLY! If this is your attempt to replicate Chick-fil-A, you can consider this an EPIC FAIL. Management needs training as well as her employees. If there’s better expectations on management, employees wouldn’t be so...
