Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in South Daytona

I went through the drive thru and ordered 4 cookie dough blizzards made with chocolate ice cream. I was the only person in line. After I paid it took forever for them to start making my blizzards. When they finally did and brought them to me they made it with vanilla ice cream. I told her they're all supposed to be made with chocolate. She closed the drive thru window and went to fix them. She fixed them probably by just adding chocolate syrup to the ones she made before and then mixing them again which made them more watery and with less cookie dough. They were nothing like the chocolate blizzards I've ever had before. She handed me the first cup and it had globs of vanilla ice cream on the outside of the cup. I asked her for napkins because I didn't want to bring the messy cup inside my car that she should've wiped off before giving it to me. I think she was upset because she thought when I ordered them that I never said to make them with chocolate but my daughter verified that she did hear me say it when I was ordering so the girl working there just doesn't know how to listen. I Took the crappy blizzards and drove off when I should've went inside and made them fix it but I was so pissed off at the whole situation that my daughter told me not to and we would just eat the blizzards they made. I also never got a receipt. I'm never going back there. I'd drive all the way to the New Smyrna one before I go back to that one because at least in New Smyrna they get my order right...

Sunday May17th 2020 we arrived around 8:30pm the line was long. No problem we will wait. 10mins go by more people get in line, the drive thru is at a stand still. No one is moving, I see a guest inside losing her mind. I wonder what is her problem... 8:50pm we finally get to order. The gentleman over the intercome was polite and professional. We get to the window to pay. I see 2 young men working and A woman with a cigarette in her hand yelling at them... by this time the line is still very long.. she goes outside and smokes. The people in line must have been yelling at her.. wondering how someone could be smoking with a wait like this I ask the 2 guys working if she is their boss they say yes. I apologized to them for having to deal with such sorry leadership. She should be ashamed of herself. She then comes in without washing her hand or wearing gloves and starts handing out free icecream cones for the people in line instead of helping them fill orders they already have.. I wished the workers well and explained to them that its not their fault . I am in the food industry. All in all it took us 45 mins. I'm kind of biased when it comes to dairy Queen. They have very few restaurants. The majority are half restaurants which means they only serve ice cream or blizzards or milkshakes. Now I like the full size restaurant which is where it was today. They serve cheeseburgers hot dogs french fries grilled cheese sandwiches eta. in addition to the ice cream blizzards and milkshakes. I got the cheeseburger french fries and a strawberry banana milkshake. The cheeseburger was very well cooked it was better than Wendy's and Burger King and McDonald's. I say dairy Queen is my favorite restaurant over all of them. The french fries are okay. Restaurant with clean bathrooms clean friendly environment very welcoming the very relaxing and cool considering how hot it is outside. The milkshake I was in heaven. Now considering how hot is Florida in the summer time and how hot it is right now I would recommend going to this restaurant and eating your lunch just to cool down from the heat even if you don't eat lunch they have fantastic ice cream blizzards and milkshakes and so many other things.
