I had to return a 20.00 platter of shrimp they were very overcooked the rice was not good the service sucked the manager was very rude I will not go back into their and establishment anymore I do not recommend anybody go in there the food is really really bad and then when you go in there it sounds like a bar that they have the music so loud you can't even hear the waitress the manager told me that if I return my $20 plate that she was going to charge me for my plate and charged me for the one that she had to replace she said that they lose too much money throwing food in the trash will I told her if her cook learn how to cook we wouldn't have these problems but you know what I'm going to report her also she told us if we wanted to leave we can leave without paying for the food she said for us not to come back but the managers they need to get rid of because the managers are not good there they're very rude they think they know better they don't know what there doing I went in there and they hardly don't have the business they used to but I tell you what they keep treating people the way they do they'll be closing their doors before long they'll be out of business and also the...

This place was great before and actually I was going to gave 5 stars but in the past 2 years this place is bad on everything Food is not consistent. Service is bad the girls don't carei have to order from the bar couple of times just because we waited 18 minutes the first time and 20 to 25 minutes the second time because a girl refuse to take my order since i wasn't her section. Management horrible i ask to speak to them and they ignore my request the server told me if i wasn't happy we can leave. Is not the first time i was there we used to love the place i just to bring family and friends but not anymore like i said now you have to wait until they want to serve you plus is always and attitude. Plus you have to thel them again and again because they make so manny mistakes. Be ready and think abaut to eat there don't expect something good and be prepared to deal whit the service and management. Overall the place is worse than you think but you can make you...

Idk what’s happening to this place but yesterday me and my mom went for dinner and I ordered a ceviche tostada and as soon as the waitress set it down I saw a black spot move in my tostada. It was like a black bug in my food. I immediately waved at one of the waitresses and she came and told her and pointed it out and and she removed it from the table. I told her just please take it off out bill. Then our original waitress came back with another tostada and I told her I didn’t want it that I had said to remove it from my bill. And she starred to argue she said maybe bc we were sitting outside in the patio. I said no I saw it as soon as she set it down. Not to mention the family f four received their food a lot faster than ours did and the waitress we got was just weird towards us and had an attitude from the beginning. We ended not staying to eat and still payed for our drinks but after so many years of coming here I do not feel comfortable...

Sadly, this place wasn't what I was hoping for 💔 I've always wanted to try Connie's and heard from a friend it wasn't all that. But I always have to see for myself when trying new eats. Unfortunately, the food's not all that. Definitely have had better. My friend and I split the fried catfish entree and for $13 (no drinks just water) was not worth it. Or big enough. Sorry Connie's, but ppl are better off getting their fill at these little mom-and-pop shops like Lawndale Fish Market, Shrimp Galley, Kim's Seafood or even the big chain like Ostioneria. Maybe it's just your Pasadena location. The establishment had an amazing atmosphere but that's probably why its patrons overlook the quality of food. Which may differ from restaurant to restaurant but not your small portion sizes. Dont think it's worth giving a second chance. There's better out there.

Connie's is my go to seafood restaurant. They never disappoint. I always try to go there every Sunday and order an Octupus Cocktail, a #1 which comes with 6 butterflied shrimp, 2 fish filets and fried rice. And I wash it all down with a Corona Michelada. Or 2. It hits the spot and it's a great way to end a wild weekend. There is live music by different people. Sometimes Mariachi, Nortenas or Banda. The restaurant has a family type vibe. The staff if punctual when it comes to taking orders and checking on the customer.

Times have definitely changed. I wanted to enjoy this caldo de mariscos more, and I did- after I enjoyed some rice to go with my soup. The shrimp are mini popcorn shrimp and it was a surprise to me. I would rather pay a few more dollars to get something fresh. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I do not think I will be choosing Connie’s over other great seafood restaurants in the area.
