Astro Burger (along with Crown and Apollo Burger) are a Utah staple. If you live here I am sure you know these chains quite well. All these chains are owned by Greek families. They each offer their signature burger named after their chain at Astro Burger that would be their . . . wait for it . . . Astro Burger. This is a burger with a generous helping of pastrami on top. This is a match made in heaven and I encourage anyone to try one. When I go here I get either the Astro Burger or their Gyro Sandwich. But the main draw for me and my family is their thick cut french fries and Utah famous Fry Sauce. Overall if you are visiting from out of town I would say this is a gem and should be enjoyed. Otherwise you probably know about this place anyway. Regarding this specific Astro Burger location I would say it is pretty standard. The food is good and the location is nice and clean. The staff is always very friendly and you feel like they like their job which is always nice. My only real criticism of most of these chains is that they used shredded lettuce and often it is a little wet which makes the burger wet. I am not talking gross wet, or enough to make your bun soggy, but it does tend to mix with the sauce and drip a little. Overall I wish they just used regular...
Read moreWe drive from Herriman now and then to get hot, fresh food. What the hell happened to the food? We went there today and ordered a cheeseburger, gyro and fries. In the past, we would have to wait in the drive thru for a bit, which is fine, because we were getting fresh, hot food. Today, there were a few cars in front of us and everyone was handed their food right away, only waiting in line a minute or two. We drove up to the window and got our food immediately. This worried me as I knew the food was not fresh and had been sitting. And you guessed it, came home, the fries were cold and way overcooked, the gyro meat was very dark and tough, the gyro bread was hard and dry, the tomatoes tasted old and rancid, didn't have the extra gyro sauce I ordered, the cheeseburger was cold and the cheese not melted. Man, what a disappointment. Won't be going back there for a long time, and if I do, I guess I'll have to go inside and tell them I want...
Read moreIf you have been to any of the Greek fast food places, here, locally, your experience here will be very similar. The specialty is the burger with pastrami, etc. It is very good, but there are many other items just as pleasing to the palate.
The Philly Steak is great, as is the NY Steak Sandwich. Their onion rings are good, but it would be better if they didn't coat them in panko after dipping them in batter. Fries are a 10 out of 10. Fried zucchini and mushrooms are also so delicious. It would be nice if they offered a combo plate with a sample of each. Yum! Service is always kind, friendly, and fast. Booth seating is built for teenagers, too close for anyone else to squeeze into. Only the corner tables will allow any of the plus sizes to sit comfortably because the tables in these areas are not afixed...
