On our visit July 14th Monday we went in and found out that they no longer had the lemon pies that they were going to be back on the rotation sometime soon seasonal. We ordered a 2 - macaroni and cheese barbecue pie in a meal with two fountain drinks which came to $30.29. The food was very hot and delicious which with the crust makes you quite thirsty then we ate the pie it was the raspberry cheesecake and it was also good. At the end of the meal we were about to leave and asked if we could get a refill on our drinks The male employee there told us that they don't do that here. I responded we have got a refill here before and that spending More than $30 and dining in you should deserve a refill on your drink where soda is mere pennies compared to food items. He refused. This is very disappointing he did not even offer to give us some ice water even. This is more of an upscale place and the food is a little more pricey but when you add the fact that you cannot get a refill on a drink that you're basically paying for the cup I found this to be ridiculous. I may come back again and get pies but as for a meal and sitting in there small place and not being allowed to get a drink refill I probably will opt out of staying at the place and getting my own drink at home. The food quality and quantity was good but honestly soda is so cheap or even offering to give ice water would have been a better than...
Read moreI was excited to try this place because chicken potpie is one of my favorite meals and I work nearby. The portions were great. Great concept, prices and meal options. The restaurant is very small. Maybe seats 8 people total. I got the chicken pot pie meal with a side of mac & cheese and one of their dirty sodas. I also got a key lime personal pie.
The crust was flaky, but it didn’t taste very buttery. The filling was hearty, like it holds it shape when you spoon it out. I prefer it to be a little bit runnier, but I don’t mind it. The chicken was tender and was not dry. It could use more salt and seasoning, it was pretty bland. The mac & cheese was the best part of the meal for me. The key lime pie was a complete disappointment. It did not have that tart flavor real key lime pies have. It definitely leaned sweeter and a little artifical. If you like the key lime pies from Florida, Urban Hill, or even Whole Foods, this will disappoint you.
Also, they might want to add a “Contents Hot” caution on the box. It was very hot, which is fantastic, but I burned my tongue. Totally my fault, I was excited to dig in.
I might try it again, but at the price for a meal, I could get a Costco pot pie that is...
Read moreModified review: I decided to modify my original review after 12 hours from 1 star to 2 stars. I think the stars aligned for my bad experience and my initial review was harsh. First off, the 3 employees were great, working hard. I appreciate their efforts. I ordered online and waited 30 minutes for the appropriate pick up time then waited another 20 minutes in the store. By the time I got home I noticed we were missing an item and the extra gravy we ordered was frozen. The portion sizes were small for me with very little substance. Taste was ok but the chicken pot pie definitely needed the extra gravy, just not frozen. The enchilada dish was so small it could be considered a kids meal. The key lime pie didn’t taste like key lime. For the price there should have been enough to feed two people, but sadly I was left wanting more and had a bowl of cereal afterward. Please try this place for yourself and formulate your own opinion. I recommend only trying it if you are only slightly hungry or just want a sweet hand pie. For me and my experience, it was a...
