From the moment my friends and I walked into El Morelense, we were greeted with warm hospitality that only set the stage for the wonderful dining experience that lay ahead of us. The service here deserves a shout-out for being exceptionally nice - attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always ready with a smile.
As for the food, where do I even begin? Their selection of Mexican dishes is simply outstanding and caters to all preferences. Each dish that graced our table was a celebration of authentic flavors and fresh ingredients, brimming with the zest and spice integral to traditional Mexican cuisine.
The tacos al pastor were a sheer delight with their perfect blend of spices and succulence, while the enchiladas smothered in rich, savory sauce simply melted in our mouths. The fresh salsas and guacamole made in-house were the perfect companions to every meal, elevating the flavors to new heights.

Read moreI ordered through DoorDash for delivery. My order was: 1 single Tinga Tostada – about $7.68 2 orders of two Tostadas each – $12.87 per order= $25.76
That’s a total of 5 Tostadas for around $36.27 before DoorDash delivery and service fees. Plus tip
When my order arrived, I only received 3 tinga Tostadas, one in each to-go box. I reported this to DoorDash, and they were kind enough to place the order again so I could get the missing items.
I also called the restaurant to clear things up. The lady who answered told me: “I don’t know about your prior order, but I have one now that only says 1 single and 1 order of two.” I explained that the math didn’t add up, if the two-Tostada order is $12.87 each, that’s about $25.76, plus $7.68 for the single, which matches my $36.27 subtotal. She just repeated, “I can only read 2 items.” she kept putting me on hold too.
When the second DoorDash delivery arrived, it was wrong again, the same items as before.
To make matters worse, when I finally tried the Tinga Tostada, it was disappointing. Tinga should have shredded chicken cooked with tomatoes, onions, and chipotle sauce. Instead, I got plain shredded chicken with some red sauce.
This was a frustrating and disappointing experience—both because of the wrong orders and the poor handling of the situation. The food itself didn’t live up to...
Read moreWe heard El Morelense has the best al pastor in the city. The tip wasn't wrong. We checked out this casual dining restaurant for dinner on a Friday night. They were busy, but they had plenty of seating and the food came quickly. Their menu is expansive.Tacos, burritos, tortas, al hambres, nachos and much more! We ordered the al hambre and burrito. I picked the al pastor for my al hambre and was beyond happy and satisifed. The al pastor had a wonderful flavor about it. The big chunks of pineapple only enhanced the flavor. The burrito was good as well. Massive enough to be shared with a nice mixture of flavors. If you need more flavor, they have an expansive salsa bar with loads of tasty options. They also have some pickled vegetables as well. The dining area is very casual. You bus your table and they call your name when your order is ready. The staff is friendly and knowledgable with the menu. The eating area is very clean and open. Pricing is on par for this type of a restaurant. You can expect to spend $10-$20 per person which is worth it. We'll definitely be back to El Morelense for...
