Knickerbockers Deli — Restaurant in South Jordan

Okay, so I went with very high expectations due to great reviews and friends who have said good things about this place. Well, Knickerbockers exceeded all expectations. Just a great sandwich. Seriously might be as good as any sandwich I've ever had (portions were smaller than ideal, but that sandwich still warranted 5 stars). And my wife would say the same about the sandwich she got. Having said that, it's a shame more people aren't able to get there due to extremely limited daytime only hours. By the time you're off work they are closed. Such a bummer. I've wanted to make it for more than a year, but just couldn't due to the early close time - and I generally get off work quite early. The only reason I was able to make it today was I'm recovering from a surgery, so had some time off work - but that's the kind of fluke it took in order...

It's pretty difficult to notice because it is inside of one of the business park buildings. They have a sign out front at the traffic circle that goes into their parking area but otherwise it would be easy to miss.

The food and service was great. I got the daily lunch special which was enchiladas, but they were still great. Goes to show they can make more than just a sandwich. Our food arrived quickly. Their drink selection was pretty minimal though, just standard Coke products plus some teas and water.

Good seating. There's a patio as well with good shade but we choose to eat inside. Pretty comfortable, both seating and temperature inside.

Prices were pretty standard for this kind of restaurant. Expect to spend $10-15 for lunch.

All in all I would definitely visit again. They've a pretty large menu so there's a lot...

Saw their sign at the roundabout, luckily since this place is a little hidden away. I was pleasantly surprised at this place, you never know with all the new deli's popping up.

I can say that the sandwich I had was very amazing, the bread was thick, soft, and delicious, and the meat was juicy, tender, and tasty.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the Au Jus gravy wasn't the most flavorful, it was a little bland. The roast beef sandwich that goes with it was so delicious that I can't complain but all other Roast Beef Au Jus sandwiches I've gotten at other places all had better Au Jus gravy. So just tweak that Au Jus to give a little more flavor.

My dad loved the "Godfatha" that he got.
