I can’t say enough about how wonderful our week’s stay was here. From the min we rolled in (at nearly 10pm) we were so comfortable and tended to by the friendly staff. I first want to start off by saying that the outsourced customer service was less than adequate. One representative hung up on me and the other could hardly answer my questions properly. The latter was able to route me to the main office which I’m grateful for. Had I just called the number off google, I would’ve been connected directly. I used the customer service number off the app so that is a major flaw in the booking system when going through Hilton App. Anyway, both people I spoke to after that were helpful and beyond accommodating; I believe they were Jaycee and Shantelle (my spellings are likely way off.) Jaycee helped make sure my reservation errors were corrected and Shantelle helped me secure an accessible room for my husband with a disability. This was a huuuuge impact for our stay as we were confident we could stay safely and soundly.
Francisco greeted us warmly as we arrived tired and very late in the evening. Helped us with the bell carts and showed us where everything was. My daughter was so delighted there were complimentary, fresh cookies available upon checking in. Francisco continued to be a gracious host and attendant throughout our stay.
Parking lot is uncovered but directly in front and seemingly safe. We had no issues. There are entrances to the rooms on every side of the building. No electric vehicle charging stations.
The lobby was clean and inviting. I thought instantly about how nice it would be to have breakfast and coffee there in the am. There was fresh water and infused water offered throughout the whole day, as well as hot water for tea. Tea and coffee were free for guests and also available 24/7. This was a major hit for us. There is also a fresh fruit tray that you can get a healthy snack at for free as well. They were mostly apples while we were there but sometimes oranges.
There were many food options in the area so dinner and all extra meals were easy to plan. The hotel even offers a fully stocked snack bar with a good variety of items to purchase all day.
Since check in, we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. Room was clean and had everything we needed down to; toaster, microwave, full sized fridge, dishwasher, all the accessories, a large rolling desk that doubles as a dining table, high chairs, two TVs, and a hot plate/stove upon request. The sofa was a pull-out bed as well.
The property had a workout center that was definitely upgraded, laundry facilities, and outdoor grilling areas.
We did not utilize the cleaning service as we spent a lot of time with family so were hardly there to make a mess. They do offer cleaning and clearly post the availability and schedule.
There were minor issues/maintenance that needed tending in the room but nothing that impacted our stay.
There was a pet relief area and some doggie treats in the lobby. We did hear a dog barking at several points during our stay.
We requested the first floor for our disability reasons and of course could hear guests rolling and walking around upstairs sometimes. Something to remember if you wanna stay on the ground level.
My husband and daughter loved the swimming pool. Towels were provided. I have to say, the free breakfast was delicious. We’re pretty easy to please but I have point out how awesome the variety was. There’s a waffle station, oatmeal, cereal, and granola with allllll the fixings. Yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, and assorted breads. What was over the top was the many warm offerings of breakfast sandwiches, omelets, and even scrambled egg bowls. Lots of juice, milks, and again, the waters. This helped us on our day-to-days
We encountered some other helpful staff members during our stay like Tee and another young lady working late night/early am who helped up with getting us some house keeping items. As well as the...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel due to a medical emergency with a family member. It was located 3 miles from the hospital which made it an ideal location. There are a few things you should know. Housekeeping is dismal. The rooms are “clean” but if you expect fresh towels and your tiny garbage cans emptied that doesn’t happen unless you request it or have stayed there for 5 days. This also means if you run out of soap for the kitchen or toilet paper for the bathroom you have to beg for it like a five year old.
They allow pets. For some people this is no big deal. They have pets at home so why not live in other people’s pet dander while traveling. I am not one of those people especially when rooms have a nose-blind smell of pets. The beige couch in my room smelled like a wet dog and was stained making it unusable. Since I was at a hospital all day this was moot point but it’s something to note.
The free laundry was a nice perk. However it was not well maintained and not at all as depicted in photos. The machines are cobbled together with some stacked on each other. (2 washers, 2 dryers.) The floor was filthy and the laundry area smelled like pot - in a nonsmoking area. The dryers were filled with some kind seedy substance and lint the size of peas that could not be wiped out, making them unusable. It was obvious that no one maintains this laundry area despite it being just 40 feet from the front desk, and a mere 4 feet into the athletic room. I also noticed some guests were washing their own sheets and bedding.
The more disturbing issue had to do with food. The hotel provides a free breakfast and keeps food stocked for guests to purchase. One morning a guest commented on the yogurt having an expiration date that had expired 7 weeks previously. The staff apologized, but left it there. Two days later, I was waiting to have my key fixed and a guest was attempting to purchase yogurt and a couple of microwave meals. She was pointing out expiration dates - some that were 8-12 weeks past their date. The front desk person apologized but did not do anything about resolving the issue with spoiled food. I also noted that people running the breakfast were handling the front desk, emptying garbages, and multitasking without proper hand hygiene.
I had consistent problems while there. I requested my garbage be emptied, my sheets changed, fresh towels and my room cleaned - on four days in succession. One night manager retrieved trash herself, and brought fresh towels and clean pillowcases. Otherwise the staff was unpleasant and rude, with service issues. Most seemed annoyed by servicing guests acting as if we were interruptions. At one point, I pulled in a hospitality person, asked her for clean sheets and started to change them myself this was at day 10 of my stay. The front desk team could benefit from having activities to do (like ensuring food was not expired) rather than sitting at the nearby table using their phones and eating/drinking.
I had to extend my stay due to exhaustion and not wanting to move elsewhere. The staff was accommodating but raised my rates. Zero compassion for a medical crisis. Then somehow my reservation was canceled. After a tiring day, I arrived to find I was locked out of my room. The day manager was very rude. When dealing with a life threatening medical crisis the last thing you need is customer service drama. Yet, there I was. While the room issue was resolved, I did have to endure the front desk person speaking to his supervisor, on speaker, as did the three other people in line. It was humiliating.
This was ultimately the last straw for me and I checked out the next morning.
I don’t know if this is just how the management team seeks to run this particular location, or if this is a corporate initiative to lower operating costs and service quality at the consumer’s expense but for $200+ a night, one expects more, especially from a...
Read moreWe have had enough of the disgusting Home2 Suites and other Hilton brands. You check in and the rooms are not properly cleaned. This time at this location, which we frequent very often, we spent the first 30 minutes just trying to get in our room because the keys worked everywhere but for our room door. We selected an ADA hearing room, and once we did get in the room we realized it was marked that but it was not in person a hearing room. When I went to put items in the fridge the Shelf on the door was broken in half and fell on my foot. The lamp next to the bed flickered the entire time and as always the lamp shades are torn up. They've done something to the volume and once you hit a certain level it won't even go up anymore which is really great when you need hearing accessibility. The carpets are covered in dark stains and appear to never be washed and all the years we've stayed here. Now recently, they have apparently started doing room surface again. The time before this they were in our room 4 hours after check-in while we had everything set up for working in our room and came back to find things moved around. This time I made sure to tell them we want no service the whole time we're there, I'm in the shower and someone's tapping on the door, oh yeah room service apparently no one ever told her. Then, today I find a $75 charge on my American Express because they've suddenly decided to charge for my service dog. When I check into these rooms I have to clean the entire thing we bring our own sheets and blankets and everything because it's never cleaned, we even vacuum on checkout day and the whole room is cleaned and stripped you should be paying me $75. I'll be disputing this. And no, I don't care about the fake rebuttal the hotel manager or Hilton is going to leave on this. Clearly they don't care because this is a systemic issue I travel east coast to West Coast and down south and this...
