I am surprised at the lack of professionalism, ignorance and absolute arrogance displayed by the the taller dark skinned young man working the front desk. My wife and I abruptly needed to get going so we asked for our check. We waited at the table with card in hand and weren't being attended to so we could pay, so my wife went to the counter where he rudely asked her to return to our table and he'll help us when he gets a minute. Since it was absolutely important that we get going I returned to the counter to inform the person we needed to leave immediately and would like to pay. He continued on the phone, said the same thing to me, and instead of at least setting up the machine so I could pay while he continued the conversation or asking the person on the phone to hold for two seconds, he refused to acknowledge us, and we had to wait until he finished his phone call. Shocking inexperience and terrible customer service. I'd be appalled if this was the way one of my employees was behaving this way towards my clientele. There were only two other tables, and the nice lady in the back brings out the plates and cleans, so what on earth is this kid so busy with? Then he has the audacity to try to tell us after that " if you had told me at the beginning you were in a rush I wouldve been paying attention". That's 200$ a month his childish behavior has unfortunately cost this business from us, and as avid gourmands we will now recommend other Indian restaurants. I'm sorry this impacts the owner, but surely such inadequacy warrants one's refusal to support this restaurant. Pardon me.

Update: I recently visited an Indian restaurant and had a great experience. The meat dishes were incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous and big. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive and friendly. A special thanks to the restaurant owner, who quickly addressed a small misunderstanding and ensured we had a wonderful visit. The ambiance could be improved a bit. While the music set a pleasant mood, I think a more attractive interior would enhance the overall experience. Still, the food and service were good. Highly recommend!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, which we carefully selected after much consideration. I made an online reservation for 7 people to celebrate a birthday in advance. On the day of the celebration, we arrived exactly on time. However, the doors were closed. Just the night before, I received a text asking me to confirm the reservation. Why couldn’t they have called to let us know they weren’t operating at that time, at least apologize, or offer a different time slot? Eventually, the manager came out opening their front door just a little bit. He told us the restaurant was closed and that the kitchen wasn’t working because he had an appointment. I was shocked! It was a Saturday evening, and finding another place for a group of 7 people on short notice wasn’t easy. I showed the reservation to the manager, but he simply said they weren’t open. This was an awful and disappointing experience, and no one even bothered to apologize. I highly recommend thinking twice before going here, as they could ruin your celebration. I would not recommend this...

I was happy to find a bawarchi outlet in SLC area and it had great reviews, but I was disappointed with the food here, I had been to quite a few bawarchi points in the USA including numerous ones in Texas where the biriyani is the best but at the SLC I found it disappointing, taste was bland, the rice wasn't long grain and even the masala seemed distasteful, it may be better than other restaurant in the area but it doesnt meet bawarchi level of food. The worst part is the server here, there were 3 server 1 guy and 2 ladies, the ladies were friendly helpful and pretty good but the guy server was rude, arrogant and it seemed like he was doing us a favor by serving us food, he was dressed as a Bollywood street sidekick, spoke as a arrogant guy, and brought plates and food in a way as if we weren't going to pay for the food, he didn't care asking for what drinks we wanted, if we wanted any dessert or water or anything at all between food and cheque- its very unprofessional. It didn't look like we were the only ones being treated like that but the same server treated all other table guests just the same. Other thing which was weird is there were tables empty but the restaurant keeps people waiting to be seated which didn't make sense. Our food took more than 40 minutes to be served to us which was also frustrating. I still gave 3 stars only for the food there and nice decor, 2 lady servers who were nice to...

Secret hidden gem🌟 This is very affordable & beyond delicious! The food was spot on amazing Indian food. Not some American made Indian food. Authentic home made with real spices. I always love places that have great Saag Paneer. We got the Saag Paneer mild, beautiful full flavors. We also got the Gongura lamb, medium spice. The spice is def on point here. Medium had some kick that was not expected but so good! Appetizer was the veggie Pakora with mint chutney- delucious flavors here too. The pakora was about 13 pieces on top of a cabbage salad. The mint chutney was mildly spicy and again perfectly made. Not too strong, but def some garlic flavor. We got 1 order of garlic naan, large pieces that were perfectly spiced with garlic. I was really full on the portions here. We took home leftovers, which doesn’t happen when my husband and I get Indian food. The check was roughly $50 for all this food. I’m impressed! This restaurant has repeat customers from us when we are in the area. **pictures are the leftovers ** We did get a second serving of rice to cool off the spice from the medium Gongura. FYI we always get a second serving of rice Only complaint -which is mild- the rice is plain jasmine rice, I would have loved some fennel seeds in it to bring some flavors out. One last thing on my long review… service is great! The waitress was on it when my water was half gone, she was there to fill it.
