It’s definitely rare for me to post a one star review, and I sincerely hope to change this in the near future, but we took some friends out golfing, $64 total for two carts which isn’t cheap, but I was sincerely disappointed to see that most of the grass was dead. We were playing mostly on rocks and dirt, tee boxes on the eighth hole were nonexistent (at least it was open this time, last round it was closed. No discount for 8/9 holes though), and it just seems like the course was doomed. Like South Jordan was purposely trying to kill it off. I also go to the South Jordan Rec Center, and I noticed at the baseball fields (even the fringes around the baseball fields) are all green and lush. They are watering so much that the sidewalk was flooded. Why are we watering the fringes around the baseball fields? Why are baseball fields are important than golf courses? Why are giant parks more important than golf courses? I’m not sure why for all of a sudden this course is being relegated to the trash pit. I’ve been a long time resident of South Jordan, for over 20 years. I’ve been golfing at mulligans many times. But this honestly just makes me sad. I understand we are in a drought, but come on South Jordan… water the baseball fringes a little bit less and let’s keep our courses alive. you send me emails saying that you will pay us to rip out the park strips in our own houses, why can’t you follow your own example? Why won’t you rip out the park strips in your city? Why are you watering at 1 o’clock in the afternoon? Why is the grass behind the putt putt greener than the tee boxes on the executive course??There are a lot of people that enjoy golfing still, don’t take this away from us. We pay good money to ride around in a little cart and hit a white ball. It’s one of the few things that I really enjoy doing, and I want to support my city and its courses. But you’re making it incredibly hard to do so. I hope very soon I can change this review back to a five star like it was back in the day.
(Photos are of the overwatering behind the baseball fields and all the useless green grass around...
Read moreMiniature golf review - ‘Lighthouse Course’ - 18 Holes. (There is another addition 18 hole course titled ‘Haunted House’ that we did not play)
Looking for a hole-in-one of a good time? Look no further than Lighthouse Mini Golf, the putt-putt paradise that's more fun than a clown convention at a trampoline park!
From the moment you step onto the course, you're greeted with a layout that's as twisty as a pretzel and as hilly as a rollercoaster. The elevation changes will have you feeling like you're climbing Hill Cumorah one hole at a time.
But let's talk about the pièce de résistance – the lighthouse itself. Towering majestically over the course like a beacon of joy, it's the Liahona guiding you through the firey arrows of obstacles and into the celestial kingdom of mini-golf glory. The structure is that of a lighthouse set on a hill, that shall not be hid. Guiding us lost and forgotten (and at times enraged!) back to home.
This course I’m sure looks very pretty and is more enjoyable when the water features are turned on. But alas, at the time we played here, the course without water, except a few small pools of concerning looking liquid..
And while we're on the topic of maintenance, let's just say the course could use a little TLC. But hey, who needs perfectly manicured greens when you've got the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat to keep you on your toes? It adds a touch of adventure to your golfing escapades, like playing Indiana Jones but with a putter instead of a whip.
In conclusion, Lighthouse Mini Golf may not be the Augusta National of miniature golf courses, but it's got heart – and plenty of laughs – to spare. So grab your putter, channel your inner Tiger Woods (or Happy Gilmore), and get ready for a round of golf that's as unforgettable as it is...
Read moreDON’T GO TO THE MINIATURE GOLF COURSE AFTER 9PM! The lights were turned off on us while right as we started the 12 hole of the Miniature Golf Course. We had to walk through 5 holes of obstacles in total darkness! A bit about the timing, I was the last in my group to purchase a ticket for the course and it was about 45 minutes before closing. We had about a 7 minute wait before we could start our game do to people in front of us waiting to start. A different group was behind us. We were having a great time. The 11 holes we were able to play were fun! (That is why there are 3 stars) Then everything was dark. To be fair, it was 11PM when that happened. When the lights were turned off, there were no safety lights and no employee made sure we were able to get out safely. When we finally got to the parking lot, an employee pulled up in his car and asked us if there was a problem because he was locking the gates to leave. There was zero concern for the safety of their customers. The simple act of walking the course to make sure the customers knew the light were being turned off or not selling games that close to closing when there is a line to start would been the safer way to...
