I deeply regret hiring this catering company for my fatherâs funeral reception a few weeks ago and would not recommend them to anyone, especially for an event of this significance. Despite being given two hours of access to set up and the contact information for the funeral directors to coordinate, they arrived at the exact time guests were arriving and took nearly 40 minutes to get everything ready, leaving attendees standing around waiting. The venue had two designated serving areas to ensure a smooth flow, yet they set up everythingâexcept for the fruitâon just one side, creating a long, unnecessary line that stretched across the venue.
The lack of organization was frustrating, but the real issue was their blatant disregard for our requests. As the grieving daughter who hired them, I approached one of the staff members to ask them to speed up and adjust the setup. Instead of listening, she looked me in the face, rolled her eyes, and ignored me. It wasnât until my grandmother (the mother of the deceased) stepped in that they even acknowledged the issue. Neither of us, as grieving family members, should have had to worry about these details on the day we laid our loved one to rest. Their lack of professionalism and empathy was shocking.
To make matters worse, they delayed setting out plates and drinks, forcing guests to wait even longer. At one point, the same staff member handed me, the grieving daughter who had just laid my father to rest, a stack of plates and asked me to carry them across the venue to set up for guestsâsomething they should have handled themselves. It was completely unacceptable.
The food itself was decent, but given that we only ordered basic appetizers (drinks, cookies, chicken skewers, fruit, and a cheese and cracker plate), that was the bare minimum. This service was meant to ease the burden of an already difficult day, yet they only added more stress. Between the disorganization, dismissive attitude, and lack of professionalism, I would never trust this...
Read moreReview for Catering by Bryce- South Jordan I recently visited your South Jordan location and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience due to the demeanor of the staff member serving the food. When I politely asked to see the food options before making my decision, I was met with a curt, âHave you not been here before?â I responded that I had, but only once. Despite ultimately showing me the options, her body language and tone were noticeably irritatedâlifting the foil lids abruptly and slamming them back down between items. After sitting down to eat, I observed her interactions with other customers and noticed a similar attitude being displayed. In a customer service role, especially during the busy lunch hour, I would expect a more welcoming and courteous approach. Iâve used Catering by Bryce in the past and have always had positive experiences, which is why this interaction came as such a surprise. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe the food and the brand have a great reputationâone that should be reflected in every customer-facing experience. I was there today 6/17/2025 in...
Read moreTruly the best kept secret in this area. The store is easy to over look cause they don't have much outside the store that screams "come on in, we offer lunch". What I mean by this is that for the longest time I thought they were strictly a catering service. Little did I know that they offer lunch.
The store itself is tiny. 3 tables inside. The staff was super friendly. She helped me figure out my order and get me all taken care of. Sometimes I get so confused when I go to a place for the first time, so this really made a good impression on me.
Their entree was only $4 and they had a pretty good variety to choose from. If you want rice or salad that's an extra $2. All the food looked and smelled great. You can tell that they make it fresh.
If your in the area, instead of stopping at subway or dickeys try this place out. You won't regret it. And for the price for what you get, it's...
