What a pleasant surprise!
Found this cool little bagelria mere blocks from downtown Wakefield, RI.
It's been tough finding a good, properly made bagel, but this is a problem no more.
Bagelz appears to be a small locally owned & operated establishment that prides it's self on turning out possibly RI's finest bagels.
Each day they have a healthy offering of bagel options, house made spreads & sandwiches. Wether you prefer the basic cream cheese, traditional lox, or something a bit more exciting, Balgelz has a pairing that suits.
My favorite bagelz include Salt, Onion, & Cinnamon Sugar, but the Jalapeño Cheddar has peeked my interest.
The coffee is good & the bagels are great, but I found the homemade biscuit to be real hidden gem among all the offerings. My secret recipe includes grilling these puppies & adding butter & jam from the comfort of own home. They also make a terrific breakfast sandwich too.
With Bagelz mere footsteps from the my doorstep, I have a hard time staying away.
If you find yourself down by the coastal communities in & around SOCO & have hankering for a delish bagel delight, stop by & tell'em...
Read moreWebsite says it's open and closes at 3pm. Store hours on door say 6-3 today. Live popular time graph on website says its busy. Paper sign in window says they're closed all week. Years of buying here & in Kingston before the move have beaten down the rating to "meh." At any time they may have bagels or they might be out. They make several good unique flavors but rarely keep any to sell. Sometimes the folks representing the business at the counter are bright & cheery, sometimes they would just prefer it if you'd go away til later. I don't think Bagelz wants to be my bagel store, but doesn't mind if I'm interested with money in hand. It's just gotten used to cruising along and cashing in. In the 6 minutes I typed this in front of the dark store, 19 people drove up, discovered they would not get bagels here, & drove away....
Read moreHad high hopes for this place after reading the reviews but as someone who knows and appreciates bagels in the northeast, this breakfast was disappointing. Although the line was out the door at 8:30am the bagel sandwiches were not worth the wait. The egg patty on my sandwich looked even worse quality than some fast food breakfast places I’ve been to. We saw them cooking the food and they put the egg and everything into a plastic container and into the microwave. Honestly lost my appetite after the...
